Brawl in the Family

Is anyone else a huge fan of this series? For those of you who don't know, Brawl in the Family is a comic strip parody of the Nintendo-verse created, drawn and written by Matthew Taranto. The comic's main focus is on the Kirby characters like King Dededee, Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, and of course, Kirby. Most of the comedy comes from 4 factors:

1. Deconstructing Nintendo Logic.

2. Wacky Adventures.

3. Story Arcs.

4. The facial reactions. Good GOD the facial reactions!

For some the facial reactions either make or BREAK the comic, that's because to some, they're hilariously exaggerated but to others, they're down right disturbing! I think they're hilarious but that's just me.

I think now is a good time to tell you, this comic isn't for everyone, like I said much of the humor is focused on the facial reactions, Nintendo deconstructions, and just plain surreal comedy sometimes. (The character Kingsonn Deedeedoo comes to mind). Plus, there are a number of musical comics (basically regular comics with an MP3 tune in the description box), they're not many and all of them are pretty good but if musical comics aren't your cup of tea then just skip 'em. I just thought I'd share it with you guys.

For those of you who want to start reading the comics from the beginning here's the link: http://brawlinthefamily.keenspot.com/20 ... pha-comik/

However fair warning, the older comics are very different. There's even more focus on the Kirby-verse, many if not most of the strips were about Kirby eating eating something, the drawing was a bit more crude, and the designs were more simple. In fact, it was only after the first 100 strips or so did the comic start doing things that are now familiar staples of the series, like more story arcs, and more focus on the facial reactions.

Hope you guys enjoy it as I did.

I like it! Read it every week, actually, when I do my weekly webcomic trawl.

Thanks for linking this! I love webcomics, especially those that approach video games (Awkward Zombie comes to mind) but I haven't read this one. I've started to read it from the beginning!

Great! While there are a lot of comics to look at (more than 450!), trust me when I say, it's worth your time!
