This Website and its compatibility with iPad...

Postby Serum » Mon Jul 30, 2012 5:14 pm

I'm going to be getting rid of my computer soon in favor of an iPad, because I really have no use for a computer anymore. But, I still want to be able to use this site and interact with the message board. Does anyone know if this board and the site itself are compatible with iOS and iPad?
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

As far as I can tell iPad are fully functional o this website. I am fortunate enough to have an iPad 2,(which I am using to post this comment), and it's a great tool, and seems to work perfectly on this site. Great question and pre-planning for the better of the forum! Haha

I've wondered if it was possible to create a mobile-enhanced version of the site, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. Most of the content is laid out pretty simply and I think it translates pretty well.

As far as mobile-enhanced is concerned, the only thing that doesn't always play well is the menu system. However if you double-tap to zoom in to 100%, then tap on a menu option, the available sub-menu does appear just prior to the next page-load (In which time you can select another page from the new sub-menu).

Other than that, everything about the site seems to work without any form of problem on mobile internet.
