Suggestion: Actor Profiles

I think the archives could do with some profiles of the various actors from the film. While the main focus would be their role in the movie, some details of who they are and what they've done would also be interesting additions.
I mainly feel this type of section is important because images of the actors in-costume are hard to come by without directly taking screenshots of the movie. I can't find a decent image of Samantha Mathis as Daisy, and don't even bother looking around for the other, non-main cast actors as their characters. A collection should be built up. This would also be a great place to put some of those production images of the actors being prepared for their characters.

Wonderful suggestion. Perhaps I'll put it in the "Specials" section, name it "Character Profiles" or something, and put up some good images of them like you're describing. Off the top of my head, there's a good promo shot of Daisy that's on the back cover of the bootlegged score soundtrack CD. I think I've got the full photo somewhere in my shtuff too.

Now that I think about it, it would probably be needless to have an Actor Profiles section. You should lean more towards what you were describing, since their characters are the focus, after all.
The profiles Zack just posted would also do well for such a section.

Actually, I thought it would be cool to have actor profiles. I mean, it could be helpful to people who don't know the actors.

I'd like both myself, but it depends on if he wants to group them with their character (such as describing the actor, their history, etc. then moving on into their character) or separate them. It wouldn't be that hard, but I have the feeling that it'd be just enough extra work that it wouldn't get done.

Definitely. I mean, it's certainly interesting information that Dennis Hopper often plays the role of villains, or that the supposedly New York Italian Mario is played by British Bob Hoskins.

I know dude. Anyways, do you think, Philibbit should close this thread now?

Close it? Well, it's his call, but we are throwing around ideas on what should be there, so it's still productive.

I know, it's just a thought though. Again, I would do the actor profile. But it's Philibbit's choice.

I always thought of doing them both on one page, for the character and the actor that plays them. And then maybe I could have some links or something to SMB-related things pertaining to that actor, like their website, or like John Leguizamo has an autobiography where he mentions SMB, etc.

Yeah, links should definitely be provided. Networking makes sites more important via Google searches, so it'd put you higher as well.
Considering these are archives, I thought I should remind you to try to archive things that may not last. Old interviews on various sites could go down at any time, so you should have at least a transcript for reference.
