"Air Trekker" Jumping Stilts

Wouldn't these things be just the coolest if used for a fan film? 
They could be used for either a film focused on the games or the adaptation, with the latter only needing the addition of a Thwomp Stomper-themed "shell." You could then digitally remove the stilts and feature real jumping action!
