I was at the April 27th screening of Super Mario Bros.! It also just happened to be my birthday! I had a wonderful time!
I was in New York for most of the afternoon and evening with my mother and sister. When it came close to show time my mother and I waited in the lobby because it was really cold outside (my sister had a date that night so she couldn't go). Everyone who arrived for the show was really excited. The introduction by Michael Criscuolo was very interesting and insightful. After the show was over my mom and I were very tired and had to get a cab to the bus station to go back home.
Overall it was great seeing Super MArio Bros. on the big screen again. It felt like i was six years old again!
I hope the other screenings go great!

Thanks for posting! I'm so glad that one of our forum members got to attend this event.
Got any more stories on how the night went? Talk to anyone else who was eager to see the film?
And...how was the film itself? How did it compare to seeing it on the big screen, compared to the DVD or VHS?

Well compared to seeing the movie on the big screen it was just a little louder than usual. But I guess that's because it's on a movie theater screen and not on a TV.
There really is not much more I can say other than everyone was tired when it was over and seeing this movie on the big screen again was quite a birthday present.

It's nice to see one of our members attend the screening. In the end, this is really just for us. If even just a few of us can see the movie on the big screen for the first time it'll be worth it.
