Potential Crossovers

Postby Phlibbit » Mon Aug 05, 2013 1:07 am

If the film had become popular enough to develop a series of comic books, which properties would you have wanted to see it crossover with? Ghostbusters? TMNT? Evil Dead?

Be creative and let us know in the comments!

Ghostbusters or Back to the Future. I think Tron would be cool too.

The Avengers; seeing Mario and Luigi fighting off an alien invasion alongside the world's greatest superheroes would be awesome.

Of course, Mega Man or Sonic would always be good.

How about a rift through time with other parallel universes where movie Mario Bros meet video game, Super Show, DK Cartoon encarnations of themselves. It's hard to explain, maybe like in the Futurama episode where they went into boxes with different paradoxes in each one.

Ninja Turtles is the only one I can see working...more specifically, the Jim Henson version from the movies. Though I do have a soft spot for the current Nickelodeon version...how well would that one work?

Usually I condemn this sort of thing, but... for some reason I actually see a crossover with Back to the Future working.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

I agree with this. The tone of the two films is just about the same, while both are set in New York City and its sewers. It's just perfect. I can easily see Mario & Luigi running into the Turtles on a return trip to Brooklyn.
