Hello everybody! I just wanted to share with you something I saw in a discount movie theater a few weeks ago. I went to the local cheap theater the Nampa Reel Theater with a few of my friends to go watch Pacific Rim (good movie and recommend it), while we sat in the theater waiting for the movie to start the theater was playing it's usual movie trivia reels, Super Mario Bros. the movie popped up! It wasn't just your usual guess the answer trivia it was more like a movie history reel actually. This is how it went as best as I can remember it:

It was titled Video Games in Movie History. It opens up with footage of the original Super Mario Bros. video game being played through various levels and then flashes into Super Mario Bros. the movie starting with the high-five "Glug Glug Glug" in the elevator when the bros. are decked out in their coveralls and then proceeds to show other scenes from the movie.

I was actually rather surprised and delighted to see this and it brought back memories of when I went and seen this movie in theaters. One of the big feelings of nostalgia came from the fact that I was in the very same theater that I originally watch Super Mario Bros., of course back then it had a different name, it was the Cineplex Odeon and was the big movie house at the time. I remember seeing the big cardboard cut out in the lobby which was the big "M" with the Mario Bros. standing in front of it. I remember wanting to go see that movie numerous times and wanting to watch it instead of Jurrasic Park (Sounds crazy right?! And I love dinosaurs!) but of course that didn't end up happening since my mother wasn't gonna let that happen since she wanted to go see Jurrasic Park LOL. I've always liked this movie and still do today! Glad you guys are still going strong on this site and I'm glad you guys are getting the attention for your hard work! I'm still lingering around in the shadow and checking up on you guys whenever I can. Keep it up! One day we'll hopefully get the Blu-Ray with all the bells and whistles this movie deserves!

Whatever we're doing, we're doing it right, apparently. If not for this site I think you'd not have seen that ad. We just need to keep chipping away at the ice.
