Hey, all, I was wondering if anyone here might know how I can get my hands on a replica of the costume as worn by Mario in the later half of the film. I've been searching for a while now and have come up with absolutely nothing (although I did end up finding the police uniform for a hefty price here, but that's not what I'm after). Thanks in advance.
Edit: In case I wasn't too clear, I'm looking for the red and blue jumpsuit which the outfit Mario has in my avatar is based on.

Re: Looking for Mario's costume...
You know whats funny, I was thinking of putting together a costume like that myself just for the fun of it. I'd probably get a red shirt and cut off the arms, then get a blue one and sew the arms on, along with the blue pockets, and simply get red pants. Thats just me though, the only Mario costumes I've seen are the overalls with the shirt.

Here is a red jumpsuit I converted into movie Mario's jumpsuit.

Sorry for the bad quality I took this on my cell phone.

I took the sleeves, collar, and made pockets out of a blue button shirt, and atacched them onto a red jumpsuit that I cut the sleeves and collar off of. The red pockets on the jumpsuit are still there I just stitched the blue pockets over top of the red ones. It was all done by hand.

Very nice:)

I almost forgot about this. Ultimateemail5000, that is really well done. I suppose if I want my own, this would be the best way to go about it. Thanks for sharing that with us!

Speaking of that avatar, is there a full version anywhere?

Nice costume ultimateemail5000!
What kind of red "hat" does Mario use in the movie? You seen to have found a perfect match.
What brand of coveralls did you find for your costume? I'm trying to build a mario costume myself and it looks like you have a good start on that.
Plan to tackle the Thwomps or Devo guns? :D

I just bought a red beret hat off ebay years ago, and the jumpsuit is made by Dickies. Devo guns you can get a Super Scope and paint it black, as for the Thwomp boots. I'd say get a mask molding kit, make a mold of your feet, and sculpt the boots.

As a matter of fact, there is. The Mario sprite was ripped from Mario's Super Picross, edited to have the movie outfit, and the Luigi sprite was created from the Mario one. They were never completely finished, though, as they lack the Thwomp Stompers and the tools on their belts. I never did get around to that. Why do you ask?

Bit old but that costume is awesome! I might be tempted to be Luigi for Halloween one day though green coveralls might be a little tougher, there's always dye

You can get a green jumpsuit off of ebay, or any thrift store and do the same thing I did with the Mario one. Back when this movie first came out I was about 8 and,I was movie Luigi for halloween. My gramma made me the jumpsuit by hand. Even though it wouldnt fit me now, I really wish I had that thing, just for the memories.
