Original script?

Postby Saber16 » Sun Jan 27, 2008 2:24 am

Hey everyone! I was wondering if someone could help me out. I recently found this site and I was checking out an interview with Bob Hoskin's and when talking about the film he stated;

"It started off a very good script, but the first day they threw the script away, and they said: we'll do this our way. And when they're gone over ten million dollars their own agents threw them off the set, then we said: we've got to finish this film ourselves."

Now, I'm a fan of the final project, not just because I was, and still am, a Super Mario Bros. fan, but because the film was so unique and artistic. While not the cutting edge of perfection, its still a fun film.
But back to the topic, I'm asking about this "Original" script? Does anyone know what this is about? Does anyone have any information on it, or a link of some sort? Or was it doomed to be lost forever?
Why am I so interested, you ask? I'm just curious to see what this very good script, as Hopskins put it, is all about. I wanted to know how it was and maybe get a more clear vision of what the film was originally supposed to be like.
Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks!

No clue, but you've piqued my curiousity as well.

I breifly discussed this with Philbit...

K, Philbit has the script and will (Soon I think) digitize it (Type it word for word into his computer) and put it on the site.

Philbit told me that the script is simular, but with some slight plot changes and lots more refences to the original SMB.

I hope you check up on the site regularly to see if it happens.

:)
Wario is the evil clone of Mario. If they had created a sequal in 94' than Wario would probly be the bad guy and be played by hoskins, but do the cookie cutter film trick. I dream about that movie.

Wait, he's typing it all up! I guess that explains why I've been waiting so long...

Philbit, if your hand starts to hurt, stop typing! :shock: I've been having hand cramp problems lately, and they stink. :?
