I always thought it was interesting that he thought the movie followed the games too closely? From what he said in an interview.

Also I love that last part of the movie, you think the guys are talking to the Mario Brothers about making a video game based on their adventures and not Iggy and Spike. I'm sure that video game deal fell through. I like that the movie explains how they became Super and almost if you think about it, plays it as if the SMB video game is based off of their real adventures. Then they could play the game and Mario and Luigi could complain that it was nothing like "the movie"(what they went through)

Actually I thought of making this a game. Since Shigeru Miyamoto isn't the japanse buisness man, I thought it would be fun if anyone could spot him first. Alright here's how you do it. You pop in the Super Mario Bros. disc. Then you watch the movie with a REAL sharp eye. Finally if you see him, private message me including a photo of his face IN THE MOVIE!!! And NO cheating like using Photoshop and PLASTER him in a certain scene. You don't HAVE to do this I just thought looking for him would be a fun thing to do. (and who knows. You may even find MORE game references.)

That would have been such a good idea. I really don't understand why Jackie Chan on split screen was interviewing Spike and Iggy about the video game at the end IN MARIO'S APARTMENT. It didn't make sense, would have rather saw the Mario's being interviewd, then they say THE SMB!
