That's a pretty sly grin for Yoshi! Adds a whole new dimension of personality to an otherwise sweetly childish creature. :P

Very cute! Yoshi is probably my favorite creature in the movie, so it's awesome to see a different perspective of him.

I think you mean-- Ohh, I see what you did, there.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

Grantland has a new article about the movie titled "The Strange Case of the Super Mario Bros. Movie".

(warning: the article has two expletives that were not used in quotations. The article would have been better without them)

The article is written like crap, whoever wrote it has the intelligence of a sixth grader with some minor Microsoft Word training and the ability to use a little bit of HTML.

Really? I thought it was quite well written and made quite a bit of sense.
Bearing in mind that the audience she pulled in would be made of people with a pre-determined negative view of the movie. It's already well known that fans of a series will hate any spin-off that isn't a direct descendant of that series' storyline. Any minor push towards something different instantly makes the spin-off detestable.

What is really missing from that surprisingly long article is actually any form of opinion or review of the film. The writer has failed to provide reasoning beyond her researched points, or her the general attitude towards the movie. She may have felt the same towards the film as the majority, but she never actually stated as such.

I very much enjoyed the article. It's one of the most in-depth analyses of the film's production as well as the most accurate. The custom header image was also a nice addition.
