A place for those who "Trust the Fungus"

Was browsing TVtropes and found these two points of interest.

"The Super Mario Bros. movie ended with a Sequel Hook that was never utilized. After nearly 20 years, that sequel as well as the backstory for the characters and parallel world are being explored in an upcoming graphic novel format."

"Anybody remember the Super Mario Bros movie? Princess Daisy bursts into Mario and Luigi's apartment armed with a BFG, proclaiming "Guys... you're not going to believe this". Then everyone follows her out the door and the movie ends.

I added those lines to TVtropes a couple months ago as sort of a low-key way to return the sequel hook into public consciousness as well as gauge interest in a possible continuation. So far you've been the only person to make note of it.

Awww. Someone should make one.

Yeah, a graphic novel adaptation of the movie or even an original story set in that world would be cool. It's just such a visually rich setting that it would lend itself well to the medium.

Why? Why would you start that rumor?.... I feel hurt and betrayed...
That being said. I Drew three pages of the Mario movie as an adaptation for a class. Will post here asap.
