Daisy/Koopa
Are you a fan of this Super Mario Bros. movie couple? I'd say there are obvious signs that there is a certain attraction between them. The most obvious being the point where Koopa says to her, "That you were descended from the dinosaurs? And you know what they say about little girls, don't you? Hm? They say they never forget the first time they're kissed by a lizard."
Need I say more?

Re: Daisy/Koopa
I don't think any attraction between them in the film is too "obvious," but there was a brief carnal attraction in several of the early scripts. Koopa attempted seduction of Daisy was originally written with him having a more hypnotic quality that made Daisy more susceptible to his advances. At one point he even got Daisy to admit to repressed desires for meat and carnivorism. There was a huge sexual subtext there.

Re: Daisy/Koopa
I'm glad that someone else besides me is a fan of Daisy/Koopa.
Although I never sensed any attraction of her for him, there was definitely something in his dialogue during their one-on-one conversation that suggested he had one for her. Albeit his decision to "seduce" her was probably part of his plan to gain access to the meteorite, this doesn't necessarily extinguish his romantic feelings for her.
I actually began work on a fanfic back in 2006, about what would have happened if Daisy had never met the Mario brothers and still gotten kidnapped by Iggy and Spike. Long story short, she and Koopa ended up falling for each other.
And, Redstar, I'll love to take a look at those scripts sometime, if they're posted.

Re: Daisy/Koopa
Here's the Clement/la Frenais draft--it's a good starting point: http://www.smbmovie.com/SMBArchive/preproduction/script/2_SMB_EarlyDraft_3-25-92.pdf
We have a few other scripts that will also be posted in the near future

The Clement/la Frenais draft Phlibbit linked just above is a good place to start if either of you are interested in seeing more interaction between Koopa and Daisy.
The sexual subtext I mentioned is only suggested in the original Bennett/Runté script we've yet to post, but the scene itself plays out much the same as in the above script, so there's no problem reading that in the meantime.

Re: Daisy/Koopa
its interesting to know that koopa got Daisy to admitt those desires for meat and carnovrism
because I always thought she was more or less a descendant of a Brontosaur, when she said I don't anything with a face in the movie. Though I always knew there was a certain thing about Koopa when he was around her.

Isn't this a little feminine?
Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.
But you wear this stuff?!
Yeah on an occasion we have a date.

Brontosaurs would make sense as Daisy's ancestry since they're one of those pop-culture herbivore dinos, but the scene explicitly had Daisy admit to a desire for eating meat as well viewing vegetables as being boring.

Re: Daisy/Koopa
I always though Koopa & Lena went well together, they're both diabolically evil & just fit well, though their relationship is quite unbalanced in the movie
I thought KoopaxDaisy as one of those odd couples, but interesting from a point of view, as I thought their scene in the movie was very important;that's when Daisy learns of her true origin

Did you? It's interesting that you saw that as David Snyder has said that Lena was essentially a "depraved bisexual" that in one scene of an earlier script attempted to seduce Daisy. I haven't felt this subtext myself, but apparently it was the impression they intended to impart.

I'm glad they changed it to Koopa seducing Daisy. I just couldn't bare to watch Lena seduce her.

Wow
That's an interesting fact....I'm glad that was left out
That...wouldn't work for a kid's or a MARIO film..

Re: Daisy/Koopa
That's a very interesting tidbit concerning a possible attraction of Lena for Daisy in one of the earlier scripts. It also represents a whole new spin on Lena's decision to do away with Daisy in the scene where Lena attacks her with a dagger. Sort of like an "If I can't have her, then nobody can!" type of deal.
Anyway, I'm all for same-gender couples, but my partiality shall always belong to Daisy/Koopa, as well as Lena/Koopa. ^^

As I said above, David indicated Lena was more of a "depraved bisexual." I don't think she was/is necessarily attracted to Daisy... She just craves power and will do anything/anyone to get it.
