Anyone own/listened to it? Just wondering because I think Alan Silverstri did a wonderful job composing the music for the movie (especially his synthesized take on the traditional Mario theme!) the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack was also good too :) Especially Almost Unreal & Love is The Drug (My 2 favorites on the CD)

Me and a few others on this site own the soundtrack with Roxette and the other songs from the movie. Alan Silvestri's soundtrack to the movie is on another extremely rare cd. I think a couple guys here have it.

This is one of my favorite movie scores. In fact, one day i decided to make my "special limited edition" of the score (I posted it in "fanstuff").

I always felt that Silvestri's work of this movie is never gived the value it deserves.

It wasn't mentionated in "the making of..."
It haven't a official release (the only way to get it it's in a incomplete bootleg edition)
The articles never talk about it

This is very sad, don't?

^I think the reason you don't see mention of the score in a lot of the early promo materials like the "making of" or the articles is that film scores aren't typically completed until a month or two before the film is actually released--quite a while after those "making of" movies and articles have already been made.

We probably didn't see an "official" Silvestri score release for two reasons: film score soundtracks weren't quite as common then as they are today, and because the film tanked at the box office.

I'd bet you anything that if the film had been a success, we would've seen an official score release in late 1993. We're really lucky to have that bootleg.

On another note--there may be some really cool soundtrack-related stuff coming to the site in the near future...
