What if : SMB Super Show revival in the style of the movie?

Have you guys ever wondered, if this movie didnt flop at the box office and went the direction the producers wanted. Do you think there would have been a revival of the Super Mario Bros Super Show? But done with the style of the movie? Would have been cool to see a new version of "Do the mario!"

I'd really have to see a "proof of concept" to see if it could work. As it is, I'm not sure "doing the Mario" is very compatible with "trusting the fungus."

However, if the animation part continued in such a way that took cues from the movie... that would be interesting to see. Not that the Mario cartoons held much (if any) continuity at all, but it could be interesting in a sort of "ReBoot season 3: Things Get Serious" sort of way.
