Super Mario Bros. on 3DS Movie Line-up?
It is a fact now, Nintendo, Disney, Dreamworks & Warner Bros. will be getting together to distribute 3D movies such as "How to Train your Dragon" and "Toy Story 3" on the Nintendo 3D's "eShop channel", which will be launching in May or June. Thinking of that, though the chances are very slim, it would be cool if Nintendo and Disney would agree to put up Super Mario Bros. on the Movie downloads, it may not look pretty in 3D, but, it would be awesome for people to see the movie for the first time, and seeing that Nintendo acknowledges it's existence.

If I owned a 3DS, I might be interested in owning Super Mario Bros. in 3D. But to be honest it'd be better just to own a nice BD3D of it

This is actually a really great idea. In our as-of-yet unpublished interview with David Snyder he really pushed for a remaster and 3D conversion of the movie. While it wouldn't do so well if re-released into theaters, putting it on the 3DS would be a good way to push it out to a huge demographic. If they're not already considering it, they should be.

They don't put it in 3D, there's a little slide at the side of the system that makes the picture 3D, in which you can slide it up n' down to turn it on or off, so basically the movie would be in it's original state, and 3D.
Yeah, I heard about that push for a 3D re-release for theaters. I would've gone to see it, maybe it would have a better chance today than it did 17 years ago.

I think the movie could really benefit from a limited re-release or a tour of indy theaters. A lot of people have yet to even hear of the movie, so it'd be a great way to introduce the film to a new generation of kids, as well as fans of indy, under-the-radar films.

I'd definitely see it in theaters if it was released again.

I think it would be possible, but most likely little local theaters that play screenings of movies, not any big movie theater.
