The Cars of Super Mario Bros.
Considering all the work they put into making the cars for the movie (as per David Snyder's comments) it's good to see that the vehicles are cataloged by make and model on the IMCDb, seen here.

I want the "made for movie" dune buggy.

I always found the cars one of the huge interesting parts of the movie as they were so well designed. I always loved the Claw digger Police cars, probably the most defining car in the movie for me next to the Koopa Dune Buggy.

I second that notion. The police cars were always my favorite, which is why I love the Crash Action Police Car set (i have 2 now).
I always wondered if any of the cars from this movie still exist today, like if some are on display (or garaged) in L.A. or somewhere else. It would be awesome if some of the police cars still existed. I wonder how we could find that out?

Re: The Cars of Super Mario Bros.
notice this thread had been dead for a little while...
When I visit imcdb.com and check out the cars from SMB, I still wonder if any of the police cars made for this movie still exist today, or if they all were sent to the junkyard straight afterward? I wonder if David Snyder knows what happened to the vehicles after the movie? Still looking forward to that interview.

I'm not sure if David himself would know, but I'm certain there's a car or two remaining in the Cape Fear area. I'm sure if we trolled some junkyards we'd come across some cool stuff. We'll look into it.

Oh wow. Searching the junkyards huh?? Would there be any paperwork on that? For vehicles that went to those junk yards in 1993? I'm really interested to know if there is an intact police car in existence that I could perhaps win at an auction haha.
