Back to the Future II Power-Lacing Sneakers to be a reality!

From "ComingSoon" -- All right, power laces! Looks like I know what kind of shoes I'll be wearing in the not-so-distant future.
Seriously though, why didn't they make these back in 1989/1990? They've had the technology to do stuff like this since the 70s and nobody's ever thought of making power laces? I know how to tie my own shoes, but that doesn't mean I should have to when there are other options-- like POWER laces! Now all we need is hoverboards and flying cars. The only other thing to come to fruition from the "Back to the Future" series that I can think of is the big screen TV that shows six channels at once. I have one of those, but I still don't have a retractable fruit and veggie basket in my kitchen or dining room, or a food hydrator that can make a Pizza Hut Pizza in three seconds from almost scratch. It's almost 2015! When are we going to get what was promised to us in 1989? But yeah, I call first dibs on those shoes!
Aside from the imminent Chinese takeover, the oil crisis and turmoil in the Middle East, the future is pretty bright... or at least shiny.
