No, nothing happened. Stop encouraging people to think that it did or will.

I don't find this conversation funny anymore. People have committed suicide over this retarded ideology that Native Mexicans knew the end of the world when they were living in caves. Anyone who believes this should have their head examined. It's an archaic idea based on ancient misconceptions.

Read more about it here, at the 2012 Hoax Homepage. Other than my comments here, I want no more talk of the 2012 doomsday hoax.

Your post wasn't the offending one, don't worry. It's the way people in general keep making light of the whole thing or taking the hoax seriously that bothers me. Now, let's change the subject. Who likes tacos?

i do though, I'm not a huge fan of Taco Bell. I think their tacos are sub par.

I'm not a big fan of tacos in general, though the ones you can get at the fairgrounds are usually the kind that I like. However, Taco Bell has a major advantage to it in that it's the only place where you can get Baja Blast Mountain Dew-- the tastiest and most elusive of all the Dews.

Sometimes I just go there and get several huge cups of that stuff at a time. Then there are the 24/7 Taco Bells in my area, where I can go in at one in the morning with an empty milk jug and fill it up for free and get out of there before anyone notices.

I love Baja Blast! I dislike Mountain Dew immensely, but I strangely enjoy most of its spinoff flavors and even its diet form.

It's good stuff, especially when you're short on cash and need caffeine.

As some of you know, I too am a fan of elusive soft drinks. And I definitely enjoy Baja Blast, and most recently the "Dark Berry" Dew that was a promo for Dark Knight Rises.

Ha, I think you mean ChipolteAway, sold by the late, great Billy Mays.

Anyone else like Scooby Doo the cartoon show? I mean granted I'm more of a fan of the recent Mystery Incorporated version and the Zombie Island Island but I still like the franchise as a whole.

Sounds like something Hunter S. Thompson would say on one of his usual "trips" except it's probably even MORE random! O_o

I don't think Hunter Thompson would ever refer to himself as a "queen." Also, he's probably throw something about Nixon in there.

Oh yeah, if only JKA added a jab against Nixon and removed the word queen then it'd be a pretty spot on quote! XD

But in all seriousness...what the hell are you trying to get across here JKA?

Aren't you like, fifteen? How do you even know who Hunter Thompson is? I mean, I didn't even hear of him until I was like, twenty and I didn't read any of his stuff until I was twenty three...

On the subject of Thompson, has anyone here actually tried doing Gonzo Journalism? I thought about doing some but was worried that I'd be doing it wrong.

I wouldn't really worry too much about that, because I don't think there's any right way to do it.

That is a very good point. I'm thinking about joining my high school's newspaper team to start doing a couple of articles in the style!

On second thought, that's just insane! :?

Drink lots of orange juice, eat an orange or two and take Vitamin C tablets or chewable things! I hear that's the best thing for the flu. I hope you feel better, man.

I just spent my two days off playing Crono Trigger nonstop. Sadly I have to go back to work today, but when I return I am going to keep playing that game to death. I really enjoy this game, it's like playing SMRPG again.

I'm prepping for the oncoming hurricane. I once lived in an apartment that flooded in 2004. I was right by a creek. Now I live several miles up hill and the nearest body of water to my house is several miles from me. That reminds me, I have to shut and lock my storm windows.

Have you considered temporarily moving? I think that's more logical than just barring doors and staying in your house basement or something. Then again I don't live in the east coast so I'm not sure if moving's a good idea or not.

I live on the third floor of a house, I'll be fine. As for the rest of the house-- I've fully braced it for tomorrow, so I'm not too worried. As far as basements built for this kind of weather? Hardly, I live in the historic district of town, my house is ninety six years old and the bathroom hasn't been updated since Hitler rose to power. I put all the important stuff from my lawn and porch in my garage and took all the important stuff in the basement and put it on top of shelves or on the second floor of the house. I also have storm windows outside my screen windows on my windows that all shut and lock-- I've got this man...

My new rat, named Parker, was killed this morning by my dog. He had been ill over the weekend from what I believe to have been a mycoplasma infection, but had been doing much better after several doses of amoxicillin.

Unfortunately, he somehow got out of his cage and was killed by my dog who is usually always at the door waiting for such an opportunity. I believe either my brother or my brother's friend allowed this situation to happen, although there's no reason to confront either of them. I just need to let it go. We held a ceremony today while burying him in the front yard. I cried.
