I was on vacation last week at NC not to sure but I think I was in Wilmington or near it. We had a beach house courtesy of the grandparents. Next time we go I am definetly driving, I would just love to drive by that cement factory or even tour it if possible. I wish I could go to the same area where Evil Dead 2's ext cabin scenes were filmed. Other than that part my last week was just a week long party that ended Friday.

I read in Bruce Campbell's autobiography that the interior of the cabin was filmed on a stage built in a high school gymnasium during summer vacation.

Yeah the ext was shot in Wilmington as well. Someone from UK went and documented it and said the property owners are really private, which I can't blame them.

Just another quick update on life. I finally fixed my laptop, I had to back up all my important files so everything I was working on should get going back in gear, most importantly the Mario deleted scene I was almost done with, but couldn't finish because of the crash of 2012.

So I have this huge stack of drawings that I've been working on for almost a month, and it's almost done...what could this be?

Well, I'm now trudging through the 11th grade of high school. Trust me, it's not killing me but I wouldn't exactly want to live through it again.
Also Serum, where did you get that avatar from?!

Cherish what little time in high school you have left, you're gonna miss it when it's gone.
Also, I don't know, I just found it somewhere, thought it was funny.

Glad you hadn't completely forgotten. It would have been terrible to lose you forever!

You know, it's pretty funny to find so many Phantom of the Opera fan fics that ship Christine and Erik even though Erik has repeatedly killed and tortured several people, not to mention the fact that he constantly mistreats Christine and pretty much plans to keep her for himself forever.
Goes to show you how bad Misaimed Fandom can get.

Well a few weeks ago I was contacted by the Frederator Network, you know the guys who brought us shows like Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Lab, Fairly Odd Parents, Adventure Time, etc. They wanted to pay me to make videos now so I came up with a new series on my youtube channel, there's gonna be plenty more to come of this series.

Wow, good for you man! I didn't know Fairly Oddparents and Dexter's Lab were from the same people, but I guess the style is similar. Anyway, that's really cool.

THanks man! It was really awesome having the news knowing they wanted to advertise for me and help me grow as an artist. I'm thinking if I can keep doing enough of these videos the popularity might grow. I just gotta get them out there, I really wish it was done in time for this years Tromadance. But maybe next year I'll have atleast a handful of them to submit.

King Koopa here! Sorry for being away for SOOOOOO long!!! I faded out of my Mario Movie phase, but I'm starting to get back into it, so whats that mean? MORE FANART AND POSTS FROM MOI! ...I found a few abandoned files on my computer...at one point I drew my own styled Iggy, based loosely off his usual attire in the film, but also different, darker and being more "hail koopa" related. I'll post it in a little bit with a comparison between his movie clothes!

Is it possible to get a region 2 blue ray player? Or hell, a region 2 DVD player? They're not super expensive are they?
If you wanted to make a Region A compatible copy, you'd at least have to buy a 50 GB blank Blu-Ray and have a Blu-Ray burner. If you don't have one, I've seen some cheap external ones at Best Buy. That option would probably be cheaper than importing a Region 2 player.

Yeah, I've had a helluva time trying to get my PS3 to play it, so I'm just gonna shell out the 80 bucks and buy a region free Blu-Ray player-- for some reason I can play Region "C" Blu-Rays and Region 3 DVDs on it, but nothing other than that and the standard Region 1/As.

Thanks for the info guys! Honestly I think I might just get a region free player and not deal with all that region locked nonsense.

It's driving me insane, it's like holding the stem of the Holy Grail in my hands but I can't drink from it because the cup is missing. I'm definitely gonna shell out for a region free Blu-Ray player after much trial and error with my PS3.

Well while Ung-Tar is in the finish stages of being completed, I made a Zelda short as a teaser for a trailer that I plan on doing this year don't know when. But this is one of the vids I'd liek to do so enjoy!

Many of you may have noticed by now that I am no longer an active part of the community. I haven't posted here in many months, nor updated the Facebook page or the comic. I feel I owe it to you all to explain why.
I just became overwhelmed by the pressure and stress that came with nearly single-handedly maintaining the fanbase. I handled almost all of the correspondences and spent all of my waking hours (and money) in furthering our interests. It was exhausting.
Once the Second Sight release launched it felt like I had finally accomplished something with all of my work. It was then that everything started to catch up to me and I had to make a choice: continue on and risk an emotional breakdown or completely walk away. I chose the latter and ended up slipping into a sort of emotional "coma" to rebuild myself after having devoted so much of my identity to this cause. I even did my best to ignore the many messages I received asking for updates or expressing disappointment.
I apologize for this. I never wanted to stop working on this project or to leave behind the many friends I've made. I just felt like I had to do this for the sake of my emotional balance. I hope you can all understand this and please be patient as I do intend to come back at some point and pick up the pieces. We will go forward!

Thanks for letting everyone know about this, Redstar.
I know a lot of people have been messaging you and/or complaining about letting the comic drop off and things like that. I don't think people realize how much blood, sweat, and tears you've poured into this community and all the projects the SMB Archive gave you a conduit into. It's been a passion project for you and me specifically--but because of the protective nature we've had over the site and the content, it really did start to take an emotional and financial toll after trying to handle so many things at once.
After all the content that's come out of your work over the last few years, there's STILL a LOT of stuff yet to do (and bring back, like the comic). Take your time, bro. We've just got to find the right balance!

We've been through a lot together over the last six years. It's a niche community and you've put your heart and soul into it-- I've maintained a vigilant watch over these forums for some time, now, protecting them with force if necessary. But Redstar, you've brought this community together in a way that neither I or anyone else never could and for that, I think I speak for everyone when I say we all salute you.
The best is yet to come.

After 5 months in the making, and a one month hiatis, Ung-Tar the Barbarian will be going live tomorrow morning at 10am. The link right now is being unlocked for family and friends to view and will be available publicly tomorrow. Let me remind everyone that Ung-Tar was created for the soul purpose of the dismay of Saturday Morning Cartoons. I had to cut out a lot of stuff to trim it down, but the main story is simple.
An evil witch doctor wants to rule Ung-Tar Island and Ung-Tar fights for his land.
