Welcome to the Jerry Lewis thread. Where we talk about one of the funniest man of all time Jerry Lewis. Jerry Lewis has starred in a lot of films nadh as directed some of them as well.
I highly recommend two of his films, Bellboy and the Nutty Professor. The Nutty Professor is a must see because of it's goofyness, nice message, oddball humor, and extreme unpredictablility.
I recommend Bellboy because it's a wonderful time waster. There is no plot, no real direction, only a premise and it's not even a strong one. It's about the adventures of a bellboy in a miami beach hotel called Stan played by Jerry Lewis, and that's about it. It's basically just a collection of sketches too short for a commercial and each are funny as hell, especially the one where Jerry Lewis makes an appearence as himself.

Well it really depends because they're both different versions. Lewis' version is a goofy odball picture that has better humor, whereas the Murphy version has more heart into it and is a more emotional story. I consider it a more down to earth version of the Nutty Proffessor. I love it as much as the original but for a different reason.

Re: The Jerry Lewis Thread
I'm not a particular fan of either the Eddie Murphy version or the Jerry Lewis version of "The Nutty Professor," but having spent much of my younger years being obese and having lost a lot of weight in the past few year, I can say I relate to Eddie Murphy's slightly more wicked portrayal of what is basically a lighthearted version of "Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde."
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.
