I absolutely hated Thor and Captain America was as pointless as its eponymous character, who is the Aquaman of the Marvel universe. Then The Avengers made me angry to the nth degree because it's about fifteen minutes of action and three hours of bickering secret identities. Then out of nowhere came Guardians of the Galaxy, based on a comic that everyone pretended to know about before the movie's first teaser went viral and now they're doing Ant-Man, who is the Shazam of the Marvel universe.

They feel so plastic and forced, and I'm sad to see that DC's movies, which were doing really well with keeping themselves toned down and more niche, are about to go into with Batfleck Versus Superman and the following Justice League (or whatever they're calling it, now) movies. In the words of Orson Welles, it's just a bunch of "toys fighting with other toys."

F4 isn't a Marvel movie, it's owned by Fox. Marvel is even going out of their way to cancel the F4 comic because of how bad this movie sounds.

But yes, I do agree about the Marvel movies. I actually think I posted something about my thoughts on Marvel movies in another thread.

But I disagree about DC. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight films anymore are way too overrated. The guy acts like he created Batman now. I still have 100% faith that Ben Affleck will do great as Batman. I'm not going to look at his past films, or his DareDevil film and think OH HE'S GONNA BE A SHITTY BATMAN! As a person you grow up, you make mistakes, you learn from them, I'm sure Ben Affleck as too...

I didn't particularly care for Nolan's Batman movies. I absolute loathed Batman Begins, there's not a single scene in The Dark Knight without Heath Ledger worth watching and that third movie is laughably bad. People rip on Joel Schumacher because of one movie he did, Batman & Robin, when the guy made awesome movies like The Lost Boys, Falling Down, 8MM, Saint Elmo's Fire, and the disturbingly good Jim Carrey/William Burroughs inspired horror movie The Number 23-- all fantastic freaking films and the guy gets a bad rep because of one bad Batman movie.

Nobody knew who the hell Nolan was before Batman Begins. And don't anybody say they did, because they didn't.

As for the whole "Marvel/Fox" thing, whatever. You know what I mean. What are we on, now, the twelfth X-Men movie? I will not apologize for my leeriness of Ben Affleck as Batman, when they had initially picked Josh Brolin, a great actor who really came into his own with the Spike Lee remake of Oldboy and not to mention the son of the legendary James Brolin, star of such greats like The Amityville Horror, The Car, Capricorn One and Westworld just to name a few. Call me nepotistic, but eight times out of ten nepotism goes a long way in Hollywood and for good reasons.

Unless Sam Rockwell has been lying his @*%# off, about all the stuff he's been doing theses past few months on the set of Poltergeist, I'm pretty sure they are going to make the July 24th release date. I mean, it could be a hoax, but Sam Rockwell doesn't seem like that kind of guy.

Actually, Marvel canceling the Fantastic Four had nothing to do with the movie and everything to do with the fact that nobody buys the comic. In the last couple of years, Fantastic Four didn't even break into the top 85; less than six thousand people were even reading it. I know that may sound like a lot, but that's not even breaking even with the publishing costs. there are are about 25,000 retailers that carried the comic; that's not even one issue being sold per store. Not even 1% of 1% of the movie going audience was reading it.

Not gonna lie. I just saw the new F4 trailer and it looks better than I had thought it would be. I may be eating my shorts.

This is the trailer for those who're interested...honestly I'm actually considering watching this. You could be right ultimate, maybe this will be the next generation's Super Mario Brothers movie.
Isn't this a little feminine?

Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.

But you wear this stuff?!

Yeah on an occasion we have a date.

Ironically, it's got the same twist as Super Mario Bros. According to the official synopsis, The Fantastic Four travel to a parallel universe...a dark, desert like universe, from what I saw in the trailer.

There can only be one Super Mario Bros. movie. Just keep that in mind when posting.

Yes sir; understood. Somehow, based on this warning and some minor comments that have been made, I get the feeling that this has been a problem in the past. I won't even bring up the so-called "anime movies" when posting. However, hypothetically speaking, If I were to travel to a parallel universe where the Mario Bros. movie turned out very differently, or had a sequel. I would acquire the the Blu-rays of said films and turn them over to you so that you could get the distribution rights from Nintendo for our world. It wouldn't count as piracy because the laws of other worlds don't apply to us and vice versa. Just saying.

Now watch as Sony reveals that they were actually able to get the rights for Super Mario Bros.

In other news, is anyone interested in that Unfriended movie?

I'm anti "social media" in general, so on the one hand, I like that it seems to have a slight anti-social media feel to it, but on the other hand, I don't like that it's about social media. I believe that Mark Zuckerberg is the walking incarnation of what many cultures might call the devil, so... no.

I can't believe people actually watch The Oscars. I watched On Cinema Oscars Edition or whatever and it was far more entertaining.

Oh yeah, since they didn't have commercials they had movie trivia like in the theaters before the movie starts, and one of the trivia facts they gave was Dustin Hoffman once considered for Super Mario Bros. I can't remember if it was a trivia or just a fact. Still a really nice nod.
