I absolutely hated Thor and Captain America was as pointless as its eponymous character, who is the Aquaman of the Marvel universe. Then The Avengers made me angry to the nth degree because it's about fifteen minutes of action and three hours of bickering secret identities. Then out of nowhere came Guardians of the Galaxy, based on a comic that everyone pretended to know about before the movie's first teaser went viral and now they're doing Ant-Man, who is the Shazam of the Marvel universe.
They feel so plastic and forced, and I'm sad to see that DC's movies, which were doing really well with keeping themselves toned down and more niche, are about to go into with Batfleck Versus Superman and the following Justice League (or whatever they're calling it, now) movies. In the words of Orson Welles, it's just a bunch of "toys fighting with other toys."
F4 isn't a Marvel movie, it's owned by Fox. Marvel is even going out of their way to cancel the F4 comic because of how bad this movie sounds.
But yes, I do agree about the Marvel movies. I actually think I posted something about my thoughts on Marvel movies in another thread.
But I disagree about DC. Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight films anymore are way too overrated. The guy acts like he created Batman now. I still have 100% faith that Ben Affleck will do great as Batman. I'm not going to look at his past films, or his DareDevil film and think OH HE'S GONNA BE A SHITTY BATMAN! As a person you grow up, you make mistakes, you learn from them, I'm sure Ben Affleck as too...
