I'm sure everyone knows this but I realized I never posted this. The film has been pushed bsck a week to April 5th now instead of the 12th. I will be seeing this as soon as I get out of work snd pick up my girlfriend from our place. Whats nice my work will be next to the theater and hopefully we will be living next to both.
Well t a press conference for the new OZ movie Sam Raimi said he woild like to do Evil Dead 4(3? Army of Darkness 2?) And will write it this summer. Now i am sure he is messing around with everyone but maybe it's for real. It was rumored in 2005 there would be a Evil Dead remake with a ED4 or AoD2. Even if Bruce is old, I would love to see him in action as Ash again. Bruce is the man. Hail to the king.

Raimi has clarified that he felt pressured to make that statement, but really would like to work on the script with his brother. It's just a matter of sitting down to do it.

Who saw this awesome beast of a movie yesterday? I loved every bit and the end credits was awesome! I love this movie and Avaraz is writing Evil Dead 2. Also Bruce said in a interview they are going to do Army of Darkness 2 taking place in the directors cut ending. The end credits is a huge hint at this. Everyone go see it.

What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

I saw it with my boyfriend a couple weeks ago and really enjoyed it. It's a different monster than the original film, but stands well on its own. It should be treated as something original with shades of homage.

Re: "The Evil Dead" Films
I also finally saw the film several weeks ago, although I wasn't able to find the time to post my thoughts until just now. Like all of you guys I really enjoyed it, especially as a new fan of the original films.
Unlike most people I had very few reservations about this as a remake/reboot. I'm rarely apprehensive about such films, though for Evil Dead I thought it was something that could truly be great under the helm of its producers and director. I was not disappointed.
I did, however, feel it was paced a little too quickly. I'm a fan of horror films that take their time to establish the cruel intentions of otherwordly forces. I like there to be a certain suspense that makes you question just what is happening. This film kind of rushed it to some extent. I also wished there had been more psychological horror, which is something I really appreciated about the original films.
All in all, it was still one of my top films for the year so far.
