Political Humor Shows

Postby 1upmushroom » Fri Sep 21, 2012 10:44 pm

Anyone else watch the Daily Show?
Isn't this a little feminine?

Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.

But you wear this stuff?!

Yeah on an occasion we have a date.

I don't have TV anymore, but my brothers and I sometimes watch both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report. Their coverage of recent social and political events is spot-on. They've probably done more to enlighten the masses than history textbooks ever have.

I think the most surreal thing about The Daily Show was that it wasn't always hosted by John Stuart. Actually that's not the most surreal part, the REAL surreal part is that the original host was on for about a good 3=4 years before John took over. I just find it weird.

The Onion is the only show I watch that I trust on politics. Also, here's a preview of the upcoming presidential debate...

What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

I used to like Daily Show, but now I think it's gone really down hill. I hate John Stewart and Steven Colbert, they suck. But who remembers when Daily Show had Craig Kilbourn? (dunno how to spell his last name)

It's a show that just bashes republicans, that's all both of those shows are. I am neither one of those, but I do believe that's what I find it all about.

I've watched my fair share of episodes and they mainly bash stupidity in politics, which is more often than not provided by conservative Republicans. They have at times mocked liberal Democrats as well, although rare.

Yeah you just summed up why I don't really like it.
