Gushing about stuff you love

Well, there's been discussion of positively received movies we hate and negatively received movies we like, but how bout a thread where we discuss movies/books/games/etc that we just plain out love? I'm not sure if there's a thread for this topic already but if there is then this can be deleted but if not well then keep it here. Like I said, there's no real category, there's no topic just talk about stuff you think is fantastic.

Here's a quick list of movies/books/games/etc that I love!

Ben Hur
Disney's Pinocchio
Jurassic Park
Super Mario Bros (both game and movie, naturally)
Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask
King Kong (1933)
Clash of the Titans (1981)
The Producers (1968)
Shadow-Gate
Disney's Hercules
Deja-Vu
Arsenic and Old Lace
Spongebob Squarepants (pre-seasonal rot)
The Prince of Egypt
Castlevania
Legend of Zelda
Punch-Out
Tom and Jerry
The Ten Commandments
The Passion of the Christ

And that's just to name a few.

I love Dragon Ball Z. It's the best series ever created, nobody can flesh out characters with abunch of plot holes as Akira Toriyama, but it's rare for characters to age, as a series progresses, or even wear different clothes, hair styles, etc.

My girlfriend and I watched the original Ocean dub 1-53(we had to watch these because I only 1 and 2 of Kai on blu-ray and I currently dont have one right now), and picked up on Kai durring the fight with Ginyu, and we are at the Cell saga now. If anything I regret about this series, it's selling my Dragon Box 1 and 2. It makes my stomach hurt every time I think about it. I have liked this series since 99 and it's still amazing. I can not wait for the new movie coming out.

Well, anyone here knows I'm a sucker for Troma movies, the XFL and the stand-up comedy of Pauly Shore. I'm also a big fan of the Shin Megami Tensei games and the music of Alice Cooper.

Shin Chan is also my favorite anime, my favorite television show is Mystery Science Theater 3000 and I collect snow globes. My favorite author is William S. Burroughs, who wrote the book Naked Lunch.

The stop motion one of course, not that lame remake.

I am also a sucker for Troma like Serum here. Mostly Lloyd Kaufman films (unless you wanna count Nuke'em High 2 and 3, and Monster in the Closet). Nuke'em High 4 finally looks like Troma's going back to their old roots, I know it wlil be better than Toxie 4.

I also really like bad horror movies. Has anyone seen Basket Case? It's a movie I really wanna get my hands on.

Raiders of the Lost Ark anyone? This movie is just plain ol' fun, nothing too spectacular just a high budgeted B movie but like I said very fun and very good.

I have a soft-spot for the science fiction novels of L. Ron Hubbard. There, I said it.

I've read and enjoyed Battlefield Earth. I also somewhat like the film adaptation.

Yeah, it would have been good if they hadn't given eighty percent of the allotted budget (something around 70 million dollars) to the Church of Scientology. It turned out poorly because they had no money left.

I like the Simpsons, I don't care what anyone says but they are still going strong in my eyes. I'm glad they havent been taken over by Seth Mcfarlene, I hate him, his smugness, and all his shows and movies.

Well, I think in recent years The Simpsons has been heavily influenced by Seth MacFarlene, with the use of cutaway jokes and the increasingly abrasive humor. Seth seems like he'd be a fun guy to hang out with in real life, though.

I never see cut scenes in Simpsons as bad as Family Guy, if at all rarely. It's lazy writing, and not funny. It's just re-arranging jokes. I wish the show would cancelled again so bad. It makes me cringe when I hear Family Guy references, or phrasing seth mcfarlene for being a comedic genius, because he's not. Now the show The Critic did cut scenes, but it still remained to be very hilarious and amusing.

Did I mention I liked the Joker? Probably the only character that's horrifying, and hilarious, well ok but he's close.

No, Mister Freeze. His real name is Doctor Victor Fries, if that's what you meant.

Oh, God, here we go. First of all, I can recite that movie line for line, that's how many times I've seen it. Second, Arnold, while a good actor, isn't the right choice for Mister Freeze. I would have cast Patrick Stewart. Or Christopher Lloyd.
