It's that special time of year, again!

You know, ordinarily I don't get all mushy about stuff on this site (other than the greatest movie ever made, of course) but this is the time of year I've always loved the most. Autumn.

It's a time where we take our air conditioners off and fire up our furnaces. We put quilts on our beds with flannel sheets and make cocoa and coffee with flavored creamer that's only available during the following three months. The air is crisper, my sense of smell is keener and everything is sharper in color. I was born in Autumn, on an election day in 1987.

The world is a little busier right now, because we're all getting ready to go into hibernation during the coming winter months, full of snow and ice and cold, heavy rain. I usually do things this time of year like watch certain movies or television shows that for some reason I don't watch any other time of the year-- in particular, I enjoy Bruce Lee movies and the comedy of Tim and Eric's Tom Goes to the Mayor around now. I don't know what it is, but everything seems a little less sucky around this time of year, maybe it's because the kid in me loves the four consecutive holidays-- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve, or maybe I just like cold. I don't know, but it's always been this way.

Does anyone else love this time of year? Especially if you're on the East coast, you know what I'm talking about.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

I'm a fan of winter, myself mostly because my parents would always have a fan on me when I was a sleeping baby. But as to which would be my favorite holiday, I would probably pick Christmas and Halloween. Typical I know but I still do like them and I probably won't change my mind.

Other than that, I actually like how laid back Autumn feels. You know with the warmer colors, the colder nights, and the fact that you're mostly indoors during these times watching a half assed but still enjoyable holiday special while sipping a hit drink. It feels kind of relaxing, though I'm sure summer can be relaxing too it's too hot and noisy for me.
Isn't this a little feminine?

Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.

But you wear this stuff?!

Yeah on an occasion we have a date.

This is the worst time of year for me right now because I am deadly sick and it sucks so much. But I do enjoy to watch horror movies around this time. I also enjoy Cinemassacre's Monster Madness.

Eh, that fever will probably blow over. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Fall/Winter are my favorite seasons. I just love the changing of the weather and that it finally starts to rain. We really don't get a lot of rain in California, but for those few short months it's absolutely torrential. The wind and rain is crazy all day and once it stops the streets are just so empty. You feel like the only person in the world.

Unfortunately, the lack of sunlight really affects my body. I just get really lethargic and depressed. And right now, of course, I have a fever. Wasn't good timing for the Jurassic-Con exhibit!
