Critic Roger Ebert Passes Away at 70

Postby Redstar » Fri Apr 05, 2013 2:09 am

Well, film critic Roger Ebert passed away today. Sadly, it was the very day after he had announced his retirement. Although he did not give Super Mario Bros. a good review he was still an insightful and intelligent man who always provided reviews of wit and humor. He will be missed.

Complex has posted an article on his '50 harshest review quotes.'

Incidentally, their review is on YouTube, though I don't know if it's appropriate to share here.

This is what I'll best remember Siskel & Ebert for, however. At least they're together again.

Sad to see him go. While his opinions on video games and comics was never the highest, his take on films was still more openminded than most other critics. A truly great man of depth.

A true shame, especially considering his retirement only a day before. I hope his wife and family are dealing with their loss with full support.
