Concerts...

Postby Zack » Thu Oct 08, 2009 10:29 pm

have you guys been to any concerts? I saw The Police last summer and Sunday I got to see Metallica! Man it was so awesome. So loud fast and heavy I thought the roof was gonna blow off the place... I have seen the Beach Boys and Poison several years back probably before I could really appreciate it.

I didn't.
Isn't this a little feminine?

Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.

But you wear this stuff?!

Yeah on an occasion we have a date.

A few months ago, I took my wife to a Goo Goo Dolls concert in North Carolina--it was pretty fun!

RE: Incognitus

I'm so jealous that you got to see the Star Wars on Stage thing. Not because I'm a SW fan myself, but because I'd just like to see what happens.

But if you're a general SF fan like me, just you wait. In the near future, America will be invaded by a force unlike any other. America will be invaded by...JEFF WAYNE'S MUSICAL VERSION OF THE WAR OF THE WORLDS.

The invasion will start small this year, with a showing of the 2006 UK tour on PBS or WTTW11. With any luck, popular demand will be strong enough for a USA/Canada tour.

Oh, it's just awesome. The story of star wars is tolded with the most well-know cues of the saga performed by the star wars simphony orchestra (cantina band, duel of the fates, battle of the heroes, the imperial march, the forest battle...) and clips from the movies. It was narrated by ANTHONY DANIELLS (C-3P0)
The lobby is full of original costumes and props used in the movies (meet Darth Vader's Armor, Chewbacca's costume, Han Solo in carbonite, Stormtrooper's blaster rifle, Yoda's lightsaber...)

Oh man, that night was a blast...

Sounds pretty good the musica version of War Of The Worlds :)

The album came out in 1978 and still has a massive cult following to this day. Check Youtube for songs.
