Just thought I'd share this pic of me and my girlfriend as Toxie and Sarah from Halloween, er uh, Tromaween.

Image

Just realised my 3DS inner camera reverses the image, so it's actually flipped.

Very nice! I didn't really do anything special for Halloween. I went to a cookout a couple days ago, but that's about it. Anyway, I just expanded my Troma DVD collection! Here's the ones I bought...

Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (Three Disc Egg-sclusive Edition)
Terror Firmer (Unrated Two Disc Edition)
Troma's War (Unrated Special Edition from The Tromasterpiece Collection)
Killer Condom
Surf Nazis Must Die
Rabid Grannies

and
Sgt. Kabukiman: NYPD

...I've already seen Poultrygeist on Netflix, but it was too awesome not to buy. I've also seen "Kabukiman," but I didn't own the DVD, again, saw it on Netflix. I'll be buying others in the future, after the Christmas/Hanukkah season.

Very nice I wish I didn't have to sell some of my Troma collection last year. I had to sell Redneck zombies, Tales from the crapper, and a few others with a lot of VHS. But I still have, the Complete Toxic Avenger, Toxie 21St Anniversary Edition, Cannibal the musical, Troma's War, Tromeo, Kabukiman, Nuke'e High boxset, Kabukiman, poultrygiest and Nuke'em high on bluray. I am definetly gonna be adding that J cut of Toxic Avenger to my list.

Lloyd liked my photo and said it was "The real Tromeo and Juliet"

That's very cool! I met him once at a book signing at my local mall. I didn't know what Troma was, then, though. You could say he introduced me to it in person.

Tat's really neat, he seems really nice and respects his fans, which something like that doesn't come by often. He's always replied to most my tweets, like asking him if i could write All I Need to Know About Love Making I Learned From the Toxic Avenger, and he gave the okay ahhahaa. Just other cool stuff.

I guess I'll post this here. About a year or so ago I had posted about my production of Reefer Madness that I was involved with at my college. Well, the same theatre company at UMass Dartmouth, 20 Cent Fiction, is now putting on a production of Cannibal: The Musical! this December!! I'm actually choreographing the show, which has been a lot of fun so far. Considering I had never seen the movie until now, I have to say I really enjoy it. Anyone else here a fan of Cannibal? I'll let you all know how the production goes.

Sweet, will Brick be reprising his roles from Nuke'em High 2 & 3?

I know Brick Bronsky is in it, on youtube there was a Tromaville cribs video with an actor for the new one, and at the end it said Vote to re-elect Mayor Roger Smith, so there is a chance he will be Roger again. Oh and I just read Stan Lee is as well.

Here is the Brick Bronsky image, along with Cigar Face, I forgot all about him.

Okay so, I just watched Killer Condom, and it's... probably the coolest Troma film I've seen, yet. I don't think I can give a "PG-13" synopsis, here, so, if you want to know more about, read about it on IMDb...

I will say this, though-- it stars a German actor named Udo Samel, who looks a heck of a lot like Bob Hoskins, and plays a similar character in Killer Condom to the one played by Hoskins in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

Here's a picture of both of them...

Bob Hoskins...

Image

Udo Samel...

Image

...there's definitely a resemblance. Heck, the Amazon.com description even says it flat out...
Amazon.com wrote:If you can get past cheap special effects and New Yorkers suddenly spouting German, this bizarre black comedy horror spoof is an aggressively trashy hoot. There's a ravenous prophylactic taking a bite out of the Big Apple, and it's up to slovenly, tough-as-nails NYPD detective Udo Samel (resembling a skid row Bob Hoskins) to protect mankind from this sinister threat.

...the resemblance is kind of uncanny, really. Right down to the piercing eyes and the sharp ears.

Well, I mean, look at them. Bob is a very well dressed guy, keeps himself clean shaven and well groomed while Udo on the other hand is kind of a hard-drinking, hard-living Bob Hoskins.

Cannibal is awesome! And I'm having a great time choreographing the show, it's funny as all hell. The actor we have playing Liane the horse just cracks me up. Shpadoinkle!

I was an extra in Troma's latest movie "Return To The Class Of Nuke'm High" i'm even in the teaser trailer. I would post it but there's a lot of nudity so just look it up on youtube. And at the 44 second mark of the clip that's me to the right of Toxie jumping up and down.

That is really cool to hear, I can't wait to see the actual movie. Feels like Troma hasn't made anything forever, even though Poultrygiest is fairly new, even though it was released it was bootlegged in the summer of 2008 and released in October of the same year. But it is old since they filmed it in 2005.

It's on Netflix. Thats how I saw it. and that movie was also made in my home town of Buffalo NY. Lloyd Kaufman is like the Ed Wood of our time.

Hey Serum if you're getting the new Toxie DVD I'd suggest going to deepdiscount.com, it's 9 dollars cheaper than Amazon.

I'll check it out.

Also, Ibanez, you said Lloyd Kaufman is the Ed Wood of our time, I have to disagree. In his day, Ed Wood was hated by the general populous. It was only several years after his death that his films developed a following. Lloyd Kaufman has always had a dedicated following. The closest thing we have to a modern Ed Wood is Uwe Boll.

Just recieved my DVD today, will be watching ery sooon. I'm so excited I am shaking.

The quality on this DVD is the best version of Toxie we will ever get. There are some deleted scenes that were on the first DVD on this cut, along with a few minor scenes inserted as well. These would include Slug and Wanda having fore play, Melvin kissing his mom goodbye, a longer chat with Cigar Face and O'Clancy, and a scene involving the mayor talking to the national guard. The montage scenes were poorly inserted though, but it's nice to see them to see stuff we haven't seen before. Over all, this cut is great for a Toxic Avenger fan, anyone seeing the movie for the first time would care less. I think it is nice seeing this after seing the same movie for over 10 years it's great to see some new footage.

Not a Troma movie, but I think it's worth posting in this thread, given its plot and production-- the movie cost about 600USD (1000 Canadian Dollars) and looks amazing as a tribute to the action/sci-fi movies of the 1980s...

Oh, very nice. Was it all in one big part or was it part one of two? (I heard they're splitting Return to Nuke'em High into two movies.)

It's just Vol. 1, I don't even think they have Vol. 2 put together yet. I know it is completed though. I'm just dying to see Vol. 2 because the end of 1 just cuts off with a "to be continued." It's a shame too because a lot of the footage in the trailer is in Vol 2. It is such a better movie than what Troma has been putting out lately, don't get me wrong I love TROMA. But it seems like they have had a slope fora while, Terror Firmer-Poultrygiest were good, but they seem way to over the top like they were trying too hard where Nuke'em High feels almost like a real old school TROMA movie. I am not sure if it's because Starz/Anchorboay helped make this sequel/remake but it is totally worth it. EVen though I have gone all digital now, I will be definetly purchasing a physical copy of this on blu-ray, just to support Troma.

SO the other the craziest thing happened at Wal-mart...Return to Nuke'em High was there on the shelf. Never thought the day would come where a Troma movie would be sold at Wal-Mart. We are now in the future. (I'm sure it has something to do with Anchor Bay having the rights to it)

Toxic Avenger I'll give you as being awesome, Bloodsucking Freaks is bordering on Manos territory even for me.

Troma Entertainment has revealed that they will be releasing The Toxic Avenger to Blu-Ray in the U.S. after all, only weeks after their announcement of a U.K. release.

Feel free to discuss it here or on the Blu-Ray forums HERE. I'm not sure how the releases will vary, if at all. The U.K. version might feature some censorship since that tends to happen a lot over there.

Just keeps getting better and better... I wonder if Troma is distributing the Angry Video Game Nerd Movie, considering Lloyd Kaufman was a guest on a recent episode of the web series. That seems like it'd be appropriate.

This is very great, I had a feeling it was coming since their youtube actually posted the intro that features Joe Flieshaker as Michael Herz again, only in the mental institution (really he's in the hospital from his obesity) but it's great to know he is doing well.

Also it is rumored that Lloyd will be in the AVGN movie, so it is possible.

I thought Joe was the janitor at the beginning of Return to Nuke'em High Part 1, when he looks over sees the bloody mess on his cot and shrugs and says "Eh."

I thought he looked like the director of Nuke'em High 2 honestly, I listened to the commentary they didn't make say anything about it, but I can tell you for sure that's not Joe.
