A place for those who "Trust the Fungus"

On the lines of Thor and Green Lantern special effects? I think it would be awesome but I would have to play Teela. I know every post i have done is pretty much been a question sorry.

What do you think of the '87 film?

"Green Lantern-style effects" doesn't suit me. The He-Man universe, as far as I know, doesn't employ a vast amount of fantastical creatures or worlds to require that level of CGI. A remake could fare very well with mostly practical effects.

For the original movie. Masters of The Universe..well, I remember it..not being to good..He-Man went into the real world in it as I remember..meh. It was poorly made, but, couldn't do much better at the time. As for a NEW movie, it could work, but, not many people know of He-Man today, and those who do...you've heard all the jokes about him.

I never saw the 87 movie but I saw pictures from it and it looked really bad like Chuck Norris but not Chuck Norris lol. I've never heard any jokes about He-man other than She-man. He-man is the only super hero that I actually care for besides Thor. I guess the Masters of the Universe movie turned out like the Smb movie

Didn't we say all we needed to say with the original "Masters of the Universe?" Must we go digital?

But new actors and new technology would be awsome i totaly could see a He-Man/Masters of the Universe movie

Indeed. Hollywood, pour your money into remaking Filmation's Ghostbusters instead.

The 80s movie wasn't bad but it was at a time when I was a huge He-man fan. I agree SFX might not be the right way to go, especially as crappy as hollywood seems to do them lately. If anything a mix of practical and digital would be the way to go like in Jurassic park or titanic as those are still the 2 best examples.

My statement stands intact. It would be like making a movie out of Thundercats--OH SH--
