Hey everyone, in my other thread I talk about the shirts I have made or am making. If I were to make a few of the Mario Bros shirt replicas of the original design would anybody be willing to buy one?



That's the original and what I have so far sketching it





I'll make more than one of these if people are willing to buy them. I may be offering about 40-45, I know it sounds expensive but you gotta realize it may take a few days to make the shirt, plus the cost of pens and shirts.

The proportions are really off. Considering how accurate your other drawings are I'm not sure if that's an intentional choice on your part.

I do love the original shirt, though, so if you were to work on the design I would really consider getting one. I just can't find it anywhere else, so a replica would be pretty cool.

I've been looking at the Mario drawing and feel like somethings wrong with it. Maybe I can fix it, I think its his leg and foot. I wanted to see how many people wanted one, I know the price sounds out of control but its just the time put into it, the shirt,and fabric pen. I finished the Goomba last night and put the drawings together on the comp.

Ill be seeking out a dark gray shirt that's light enough still for the colors to show good so it looks like an old shirt.

So i was doing thinking and thought if I make the shirt on the comp it would make things easier to have it on cafepress. I drew it and wanna know what you guys think.



For fun i did a retro worn out look too which still needs work so I'll be working on it more.

Really? It looks pretty much exactly like the one in the original picture to me. Of course, I'm not a visually artistic person so I can't really say if the proportions are off, but it looks fine to me.

Thank you, I tried my best at it. I still see how Mario and Luigi's feet don't stick out far enough but Im happy with the results. Im not sure if cafepress will allow me too make it as a screen print so if it doesn't I will be forced to make it by hand, which in the long run will probably be worth it.

The proportions in the original drawing weren't wholly realistic either, but UE5000's attempt is just deformed. They both just look stunted with large legs and heads.

I couldn't put my finger on why the pictures looked off to me myself, and you are right. Their heads are big. I think Luigi's head is fine but Mario's is big. Ill have to fix this on the computer version I made. Does anybody know any other screen printing sites besides cafepress because I don't think they'll let me use that due to SMB being copyright material.

I do know of Threadless, which has a sort of voting system to determine which shirts are sold. If your design is good enough it could become popular. Certainly we would vote for it.

Hopefully your revised version of the design works out. I'd love to have a near replica of my own.

I can't believe I kept forgetting to mention this. The computer drawing is set up with different layers and I actually made the bros have hair (except Mario) under their hats. Both which resemble their hair styles from the movie. Ill post a pic of it when I get around to it.

Hey guys, I wanted to let you all know I am right now working on a T-shirt styled artwork based on the one above, only I'm actually tracing over the cover of the cassette tape packaging. It should be done today, once I get enough money saved up I might try to see if I can get these screen printed to have them up for sale. I will post the picture when I am done and it should be up ina few hours.

I want a shirt with the words VOTE KOOPA and Dennis Hoppers face on it. Or the famouts red white and blue torso picture, with the word KOOPA on it.

Here it is. I have another version in just black and white i'll upload when I can fill in the whites.

Hey-AHHHHHHHHHHHH! What is with the FACE?! That Loops face gives me the creeps! Though you did good on Mario and Luigi.

Nice attempt. It'd make a great glow-in-the-dark T-shirt.

The first image may be available on a shirt! I retooled Mario's head, with the tip from Redstar, and have added to my cafepress.
I have added the other design in black and white, and will add it in color. If they accet my design it will be okay, but if they don't I will have to figure another way out to get these t-shirt replicas to fans like you!
