Ok so I couldn't find any threads involving fanmade pictures that resemble the live action movie so why not start one? I just found this picture and after seeing it, I wish this is how the movie would have looked like rather than what we got. Notice as Mario doesn't have a pedo mustache.

I've seen this image before, as well as the rest made by the artist. They're fun and definitely a good idea for how the movie could have been made. Unfortunately, the artist never responded to any comments or messages. Too bad. Would have loved to see him re-post them here himself.

How many more does he have I'd like to see them.

The bros look so much better like that. They both look Italian and look like they could be brothers. It makes me so upset that the movie couldn't do that with the actors.

While I like the overall look of Mario and Luigi in the film, it really is disappointing when you consider the things they could have done just to make the concept more of a successful homage. Even just a red/blue and green/blue color profile that built up to the suits would have been so cool.
