Super Mario Bros. 2 (Fanfic)

This fanfic has been on the backburner of my mind for a while and I decided to post it. This fic, is the usual plot of Koopa returning and having his 7 kids rule with him and blah blah, however the twist here is that the seven kids themselves are just alternate versions of Koopa that he managed to get through a multi-dimensional portal system called the Warp Zone.

You see during that very week that the Mario Brothers were absent from Dinohatten, Koopa was not only re-evolved but also was given a big box by a mysterious old man which contained green pipes, a grey machine, some cables and wires, an instruction manual, and a couple of keyboards. All of this was a multi-dimensional system that would open up portals to different dimensions and alternate universes.

After carefully following instructions and setting everything up and doing a couple of test runs, Koopa managed to win back the crowd with his dimension system and as people went to his "special airport" called "The Warp Zone", he also started making lots of money and good publicity. However, he also had sinister intentions.

For Koopa had searched through all the universes and dimensions to find several alternate versions of himself (but only the ones that had a powerful influence) and convince them to bond their armies together so that they can take over Dinohatten (or whatever it's called) and then other dimensions and universes until finally they're in total control of everything!

The alternate Koopas are:

Ludwig: A scientist who has managed to force most of the council (from his universe) to fufill his every whim with his technology.

Larry: A blue-haired con-man that managed to own the entire police (of his dimension) out of a rigged gambling game.

Lemmy: Owner of his dimension's most powerful and dangerous asylum who is not quite there himself.

Roy: A leader of a powerful street gang that basically controls his dimension of Dinohatten.

Morton: A greedy mobster who's entire fortune and legacy comes from getting the dirt on many famous people in his dimension and blackmail.

Wendy: A spoiled brat who is actually the King's wife in her dimension and basically uses the King like a sockpuppet.

Kong: An ape descendant that is the ruler of the Dinohatten in his dimension.

Plus here's the dimensions:

Ludwig's: A technologically advanced society that's controlled by Ludwig due to most of the technology being his.

Larry's: A corrupt city that's being torn apart by Larry and his constant abuse of the police that he owns.

Lemmy's: Another corrupt city that has most of the citizens in Lemmy's aslum and under his control.

Roy's: A nightmareish dimension where Dinohatten has no Kingdom and is being run by the "Troopahs", a violent gang made up of horrifically de-evolved people that claim Dinohatten is theirs! (I'll bet you'll never guess what they're based on.)

Morton's: Another corrupt city that seems to be ruled by the King but is really ruled by the mob.

Wendy's: Pretty much the same except for the fact that Wendy is married to the king, the king was never de-evolved, Daisy has also become spoiled and has no sympathy for anyone below her, and Lenah is replaced with Leonardo.

Kong's: Also the same except for the fact that the mammals were cursed with the dieng world and the reptiles were blessed with the nice and healthy world.

So those are all of Koopa's alternate selves plus their universes, and they're all (seemingly) working together so that they'll (like I said) be the ultimate rulers of all universes. Of course Daisy, and the Mario brothers won't have any of that crap so they'll travel through dimensions, taking down each and every alternate version of Koopa until only Koopa is left.

Originally this was going to be a lighthearted comedy but once I had that thought of the Koopalings basically being an alternate version of Koopa and my mind just ran with it. So tell me, would you want to see me work on this? Does this actually have potential? Should I start working on it? Will you guys want to help?

It's a unique approach to a premise pitched again and again, so it certainly has potential. I can easily see conflict arising between the various Koopas, though due to the number of characters this story would inherently follow I would recommend killing off a few early on or otherwise disposing some.

It would just make for a more interesting story to have the real powerhouses (some clearly capable while others not so obvious) duke it out over control of the universe. I wouldn't say that exploring the story now is a good idea, though, since I already have so many other stories that you could work on.
