Super Mario Bros. Recut Trailer

Hey to all fellow Super Mario Bros The Movie fans,

We were contacted by the admins on Twitter to share our recut trailer on the forum. First off, just want to say thanks very much for having us. We have always been huge fans of the film ever since it first came out and are very happy to know a site such as this exists.

A little bit about us, we are Cutting Room Floor Creations and we specialize in recut movie trailers. We try to bring a unique perspective to our recuts and show viewers something that they have not seen done on YouTube by countless other users.

With that being said, we always discussed about making a recut of Super Mario Bros. For us, this was not an easy task as we were trying to decide what direction to take our recut. Going along with the darker tones and cyberpunk visuals made famous in the film, we decided to go with a suspense/thriller theme. The concept was realized primarily through the film's opening segments and the theme of the missing Brooklyn girls. We tried to re-imagine Luigi's infatuation with Daisy to that of a stalking boyfriend, something similar made popular in films such as Fear. For us, this was not only fun but very humorous as it's a complete 180 of the film's original story. Luigi and Mario are out to capture Daisy however Koopa also wants Daisy for himself. Luigi will do whatever it takes to get her back for himself. Through the use of the film's dialogue and other darker toned scenes we were able to recreate our vision into something we can be proud of and hope that fans of the film will enjoy and get a few good laughs out of.
