Hey guys, I'm just opening up my own thread for some creations I have planned. I will be redoing my Mario Bros. movie with video game sound effects, as well as a Mario and Luigi figure custom. I won't say what they will be now, you'll have to wait until I finish them. I'm watching the figures on ebay now, so after I buy and receive them I can begin.
Here's my first video, I redid Super Mario Bros. in 5 seconds.
It's funny just how well that one scene illustrates the premise of the entire movie. xD

Super Mario Bros. Movie with video game sound effects is uploaded! I also fixed the link above, Mario Bros. in 5 seconds is now on Youtube as well.
EDIT: Apparently embedding for this video can't be turned on due to a content claim. People who can't view in the following areas: Andorra, Belgium, France, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guyana, Luxembourg, Martinique, Mayotte, Monaco, Switzerland.
Anywhere else is fine. Just double click on the video and it'll take you to the video on youtube if its not working.

Another great video, oldskool. People working off the movie itself seems to be rare among this community despite it being a movie that could easily be edited into something darker, more exciting, or just plain funny.
Any reason you started as late as you did? I'm sure more sound effects could have been implemented earlier into the film with the biggest one coming to mind a "warp" or "death" sound when Mario falls through the dimensions. Another sound effect I would have liked to hear, but in the video you did use, is something from Donkey Kong when Scapelli is de-evolved. Donkey Kongs "awhh awhh!" sound in Donkey Kong Country could have worked well each time Scapelli hopped.

Thanks Red. I do like your suggestions, but unfortunately I couldn't find any Donkey Kong audio clips. My first stop was themushroomkingdom.net, they didn't have anything. The only DK audio clips I could find were from the Atari ones, but they were all Mario.
As for starting late, I only had 15 minutes to work with. I decided to start when they acquired their color coded uniforms because it gave off more of a Mario Bros. game type feel to it, as opposed to earlier in the film when they were in their normal clothes.

Ah. That's too bad. If you ever do come across some Donkey Kong sound effects I think they'd make a great addition to the video. Add some variety and real humor to the video.
So anything else planned?

Haha yea definitely. I wanted to put in a title screen right before Mario takes off to find Daniella that would quickly read "Mario Start !" but it wasn't working well so I scrapped it.
Next I got 2 figure customs I want to do of Mario and Luigi. I'm watching the auctions on ebay so it'll be a week or so before I can begin.
