Hello~. My name is Jon, also known as Yay for me, Luigi!

I, ummmm, well... I edited this picture a long time ago for a friend of mine since he liked Fire Mario, and I, being a Fire Luigi fan, liked Fire Luigi. Soooo, I guess I edited it for the both of us! xD

This was my first attempt to make a Fire Mario. Unfortunately, it looks choppy, incomplete. and horrid. ENJOY. C:

This was my first almost awesome edit. It originally was titled "Running in the 90s". (LOL Internet)
Favorite part of the movie! But, it looks choppy, and pixely. xD

This is my last photo edit. It's not a movie edit, but it gives me a good closer! 'Til next time: DO THE WARIO! xD

Those pictures are awesome! If Mario or Luigi picked up a flamethrower this should have happened. I have something similar planned in my thread as well.
I've seen that Wario/Waluigi picture before, nice job! I love how you even added the pink nose on Wario, nice attention to detail there!

I love this concept. The color-scheme of the original Fire costumes are arguably one of the defining features of the original Super Mario Bros. (Can anyone dismiss how awesome it feels to first get a Fire Flower and start shooting Goombas and Koopas?)
Your re-coloring of the film's costumes is nearly flawless work. The design of those costumes also allow for a much better rendition of the Fire color scheme than the game's coveralls might, which makes it a plus in my book. Hope to see more of this!

Good work with those pictures! Looks like Super Mario Bros. 2
How Hopper Should've looked like in the movie. xD

Hello! It is I again, Jon Claveria, also known as Yay for me Luigi! When Mister Redstar IMed me on AIM, he asked me to put up some earlier work and try to edit a Dennis Hopper Bowser picture. Ha, ha. Hopefully you can get a good laugh out of it though. I need to work with editor more. I haven't in so long that I forgot how to do certain things. D; Anyways, this is what King Koopa should'a looked like in the movie! Enjoy!
This is the crappier not-as-good version. D; I need to get better.

That actually turned out rather well. Glad you were able to take to my request so soon.

You're right that the face doesn't look so good, but the recoloring of the hair and suit really shines and could have definitely worked as a character design that alludes more to the game's version of Koopa while still being human. You should totally just leave it at those two while keeping the face normal.

*UPDATED* How Hopper should have looked in the SMB Movie.

This is the second edit. I think this is better since I messed his face on the last. D;
If Nintendo were to actually use The Mario Movie costume as an Alternate costume in Smash brothers, it might look like this. (Sorry for overall buttons. I tried getting ridda' them, but it didn't work.)

Yay for you again, Luigi! 'Nuff said

Both edits are very good! But since you weren't so happy with the yellow-and-green face edit, might I suggest you play around with various colour tones until you find one you like?

That's much better! Aside from the little bits of yellow still on the top of his tongue and chin, this design works much better than the original attempt. The recoloring works really well with Koopa's film design in general.
If you take requests, I'd like to see a picture showing more of the snakeskin suit recolored.
This is the best I can find, which should be interesting seeing how the recolor contrasts with T. rex Koopa.
Another interesting idea would be attempting to make Iggy and Spike look somewhat like their own game counterparts. It'd be fun to see Iggy with white hair and Spike with rainbow hair and glasses.

Hopefully it's okay if I post a manip of mine in here:

Here's the story behind this one: some of the biggest "complaints" about the film center around the characterization of Luigi. Some of the most common ones include:
"He's not a lot taller than Mario," "he's not Italian," "his hat is backwards," "why is he Mexican," "why is Mario his father," "why are they so far apart in age," and, my personal favorite:
"He has no mustache."
Well, this manip is designed to challenge the claims of these people. Along the same lines of "do you
really think making everything like the games would make a good film," if you really wanted a "true" game Luigi, based upon the way he was characterized in a majority of the games at the time (keep in mind the only game where he was skinny/tall was in SMB2 for a while), then here he is. A color palate swap of Mario from red to green. With a mustache. Is that what you wanted? Because that's what these people are asking for.

I like your pic Phlibbit! Very Street Fighter-y (i.e. in the sense of a palette-swap 'mirror match' VS screen... and yes you heard this one coming from me LOL)
I personally had no complaints about how Luigi turned out. I thought the idea of him being a young character who you just want to run up to and cuddle (come on, you can't deny it...) was rather sweet.

That is a really sweet picture Phlibbit. It reminds me of the old merchandise from the 80's that had Luigi as a Mario clone but with a different color pallet. I really like that, it makes me really wonder now what the movie would have been like if Luigi looked more like Mario.

Vaguely reminiscent of
Son of the Mask for some reason.

Yay for Me Luigi, do you take requests? If so can you do an invincible (i.e. Starman'ed) Dennis Hopper? I'd like it for my avatar (if of course RedStar or someone can show me how to make a pic into an avatar!).
For this I'd suggest you try numerous shots of Hopper, like when he says "I'll kill that plumber!!" or when he is chasing Daisy's mom, so I can decide which one I'll use.

These are all awesome edits! If you're taking requests I have one.
Is it possible to reverse the color on Mario and Luigi's clothes so it looks like what they wear today? The jumpsuits would be blue while the sleeves, pockets and collar would be red and green.

Of course all of your requests are possible. After all, anything is possible, you just gotta believe! xD

I think I'm fine with the Luigi we got

But I find that an awesome n' humorous edit!

In all honesty, I liked how Luigi was portrayed character-wise and design wise. A mustache... seriously? Is the lack of a mustache REALLY that earth-shattering!? Well, why not complain about Mario going bald? Mario in the video games wasn't bald, DESTROYING MY CHILDHOOD!
