Super Mario Bros. Movie Roleplay

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

Rules: Movie characters only.

Characters open: All but Daisy, Koopa and Mario.

Setting: Stemming off from the point in the movie where Koopa confronts Daisy and sits with her on the sofa. The roleplay can go anywhere from there. We do not have to stick strictly to the story line.


"I don't know where the meteorite piece is," Daisy said. She could see the small yellow dinosaur lowering his head a bit as he watched the man who had treated him so poorly all these years. A low growl could be heard rumbling from down within the creature's throat, most likely it's way of trying to defend her. The one she had over-heard Koopa call 'Yoshi' had been her only friend since she'd been held here in the tyrant's tower.

(I'll continue with Koopa, but I have no qualms with passing the character off)


Koopa steps forward, his arms held upright in a mannerism even he doesn't realize. He wears a long lizard-skin robe with which to produce an air of nobility. His breast has several military medals to designate his warlord status to add to his intended presence.

"You must," he calmly presses. "It is your life. The aura of who you are." He sits beside her. "You feel different without it around your neck, don't you? You feel like you're..." He motions to her neck, his fingers slimily caressing her chest, causing her to squirm "...missing something?"

(I'll reserve Mario, but will join the RP at a more appropriate moment for him to join in )

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

"H...how dare you," Daisy would snap, narrowing her eyes at him, finding the touch to be very inappropriate indeed. She'd continue to feel chills running down her spine as she felt the fingertips move from the material of her shirt up to her revealed collar bone, tracing along the raised ridge beneath her richly toned flesh. If he weren't in charge, she'd be attempting to get him into trouble for harassment, which was most likely just as illegal here as it was back in New York City, unless you were the diabolical tyrant of this whole place, of course. "I don't even remember much about my origins. Nothing of my mother, especially not how I was conceived."

[Redstar]

Koopa sits up, momentarily shaken at the mention of Daisy's mother. He turns away, walking to the open window of his tower. He stares out at his city. The city he changed... revolutionized... brought from the Stone Age.

"Your mother..." He pauses a moment, then resumes. "Your mother was a beautiful woman. An icon to the people." He turns back to her, staring intently into Daisy's young eyes... The same eyes of her mother. She cannot look away. "She tried to save our world, but she couldn't... She was too... sweet."

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

"What is your main reason for keeping me here? Is....is it because you think that I can step in and successfully accomplish what she failed at? Koopa, even if I had the slightest desire to make this city a better place...I know that it would be impossible. I don't know the first thing about running an entire town." She could see what she thought to be longing in his eyes, but tried to ignore it in her mind, even though her eyes seemed magically transfixed upon his. "A city's citizens want a leader that is powerful and can handle the most difficult pressure....but that isn't me."

Koopa maintains the shared gaze between himself and Daisy. Transfixed, she cannot turn away or ignore his words. "You have a role in our world. The role your mother knew you could fulfill that she could not." He turns away, breaking the true hypnotism, yet Daisy remains in one of her own. Koopa's words are too strong. "You may not see yourself fit for my plans, but you will come into them soon enough. It is your destiny."

With that he pauses for a moment. Then, slowly, with care, places his hand to Daisy's cheek as if longing for something. Then he turns and strides from the room, a Goomba entering as a large mechanical shifting sound indicates the door has locked.

Daisy's body trembled as he felt her skin once more, his fingers warm, but she didn't try to pull away and didn't make any harsh remarks this time either. Her head tilted slightly, her eyes still watching him as he rose and eventually left, feeling somewhat confused.

It wasn't until after the door had been sealed shut with a loud clank that the girl grew weary of the Goomba and narrowed her eyes at it slightly, never taking her gaze off of the bulky creature. Whatever it was up to, she didn't think it could be anything good by the way it was behaving. Now that she had been broken of the trance Koopa had had her in, she rose from the couch, trying to keep her distance constantly.

Mario rushed down the dark & empty hallways of Koopa's Tower. His Stomper boots thumped onto the floor as he ran, he suddenly saw Koopa leave the room, he stopped, and didn't make a sound. Mario waited for Koopa to turn down the corner as he quietly shifted up to the door and turned the knob;it was locked. Mario quickly peeked down the corner, sighing in relief that Koopa was no where in sight. He turned his back to the door and knocked on it, yelling roughly, "Daisy? Ya' in there?"

(I'll be Luigi if that's ok)

Luigi then quietly as he could with his stomper bots walked to Mario, his full of fear and anger at his older brother. "Shush" Luigi said, "You wanna have everyone know where we are?!" Luigi then quietly knocked on the door and whispered "Daisy, hello? You in there?"

Daisy could have fainted when she her Mario and Luigi on the other side of the door. She wanted to shout, "...n...no, get away from here! There's a goomba in her with me and he'll alert Koopa!" But alas, she knew if the words slipped from her mouth that they would be caught. Hopefully, the ugly creature pacing around the room with it's eyes on her constantly had not already picked up on their high-pitched shouts. Slowly, she went back to the couch and sat on it with her legs hugged up against her chest, glancing at the door every now and then with a solemn expression.

Mario ignored Daisy's warning as he got out an allen wrench, he stuck it into the door's lock and struggled, "Nothin'! It's locked tight!, we need an alternate way ta' geddin' there, Luigi.."

Luigi then looked up for a while, hoping to find an airvent they could get in to. But there was nothing. "Well" Luigi said, "The airvent's a nope." Luigi then looked at the door knob and suddenly remebered his tool belt. Luigi then grabbed out a little screw driver and started picking at it.

Mario watched Luigi as he attempted to open the locked door, "C'mon!" he said impatiently, "You ain't puttin' enough strength into it!" Mario then pushed Luigi aside and finished the job, "When will you learn to use yer' tools right?!" Mario kicked the door open, and ran in..

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

Daisy screamed as the door was broken into and she saw Mario standing there, then Luigi stepped out from behind him. "Don't take this the wrong way you two, but have you gone...completely mad?! I'm really grateful to you for trying to save me but Koopa is bound to have heard the commotion and he'll be here anytime now, I just know it. What if he turns you both into primordial slime?!"

Mario laughed huskily & said, "Heh, yeah, he already tried that trick! We got 'im a taste of his own medicine & popped him up inta' his own machine!" That Koopa ain't no trouble for us at all, eh Luigi? Only problem is that his attendant got the rock.."

Meanwhile, Koopa lounges in his suite, brooding. Being face-to-face with Daisy had brought forth memories he had long buried. He mustn't let the past influence his plans for the future. Just then there's a rap at the door. Koopa glances at a monitor at the end of his desk then buzzes the door open. Wart and Bloober enter. Koopa motions them closer.

"Sir," begins Wart, "The de-evolution technology is being miniaturized as we speak. We just need the power of the pendant to allow circuitry small enough for the technology to be condensed enough for the planned rays." Koopa remains silent for a moment, then, "Good. Continue production on the weapons. Increase devolution to bulster the Goombas. Everything must be prepared for when I have the rock."

Silence for a moment longer, then, "You may leave." Wart and Bloober nod then exit. Koopa waits until they leave then stands, walking to the globe of his dying world. He places a hand on it, his eyes hazy with thought. His time is coming.

She was just about to head out the door with Mario and Luigi who, along with her aid, seemed to be making the solitary goomba in the room feel outnumbered and intimidated, when something inside her head started to bring her great sadness. It was a feeling she could not shake. It became more and more clear as it lingered, and she thought she saw a fuzzy image of a very distraught Koopa in her mind. The feeling soon was far too much for her to ignore and she rushed past the two plumber brothers, "...Mario, Luigi, I'm sorry....but he needs me." Heading through the door, she rushed in the direction that she thought Koopa had went, eventually arriving at the room with the globe, seeing him standing there with the same expression she had seen in her vision. "Koopa....I...I'm here....and I'm sorry."

Mario watched Daisy as she ran off, Luigi was about to chase after her, but Mario pulled him back, "No! Luigi!..let's just see what happens..what this Koopa guy is up to..." Mario quickly sneaked up to Koopa's room, & secretly peeked, seeing Daisy step up to Koopa..

Koopa was brooding in his suite, darkly enjoying a slice of Python Pizza, extra-spicy, hold the mammal. His breath stank even more than usual. He looked up as Daisy entered. "You! What are you doing out of your room!"

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

She jumped as his voice boomed at her in rage. Her lower lip quivered like crazy as she tried to quickly think of a decent explanation, one that would be easily believable. Regaining a bit more confidence, she straightened up her posture and looked him square in the eyes, even daring to approach him more closely, "...I had to go to the bathroom. Is that a crime in Dinohattan? I passed by the door on the way back to my room and saw you, thinking you looked a little upset. I thought you might like some company."

Luigi knew there was something fishy going on. "I don't know about this Mario." He said,"Something's up here." But whatever it was, he couldn't tell, as he just stood there, watching what was goig to happen next.

His eyes flashed to Mario and Luigi. "What are these... plumbers doing with you?" He mouthed "plumbers" with as much venom as when he said the word "mammals."


(Also, it's been established that Koopa has to buzz people into his suite. So yeah)

Mario got furious as Koopa spotted him, his mustache twitched as he stomped right up to Koopa, "And what is this poor girl doin' with ju'?!" Mario clenched his fists in anger..

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

Daisy''s hands would begin to tremble at her sides as Mario bravely took a step past her, heading straight towards Koopa. She knew this would no doubt end badly, no matter how tough he and Luigi thought they were together. "Mario, Luigi....I appreciate you coming here to check on me. But I came here because I wanted to...This...sensation came over me, like I could feel Koopa's sadness....sharing his emotional pain. Whether it's a trick of his or it was raw and sincere...I couldn't let him feel that way. No matter what he's done it was just too strong of a depressing mood to ignore. I came...because....because I felt like he needed me."

Mario was about to pull out a monkey wrench, but suddenly, he had a confused expression, but then his expression turned blunt, "Yeah, he does need ya'! Needs ya' for his own selfish need to turn us all inta' chimps!" Mario glanced at Luigi, then back at Daisy..

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

Daisy turned to him, chewing her lower lip a bit, clearly very on edge but it wasn't because of anything going on in the room, it was something deeper, something she had been hiding from him and Luigi ever since they had met. Deep down inside, the memories had always been there, even of seeing the egg after she was hatched form it. At last, she could remain in denial of it no longer. "There's....something I have to tell you," she looked over Mario's shoulder at Luigi, "....both of you. You see...I'm like...I'm like Koopa. I was hatched from an egg."

Mario seemed surprised, he was quiet for a minute, pondering around in his mind of what to think, so he said, "Ya' tellin' us yer' one of these reptiles?" Mario strangely seemed content..for the moment..

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

"I am...," she said to him, staring down at the ground as she confessed for a second time, not being able to bare looking him in the eyes when she heard his tone of voice. Though it seemed relatively calm, the disappointment was still there nonetheless. "I know...I lied to you and that was very thoughtless of me."

Mario was quiet, he didn't know whether to leave Daisy be or to attack Koopa while he had the chance, he turned to Luigi;he seemed emotionless. Mario glanced at Koopa, he looked right into his eye, which was starting to seem more reptilian each minute..

Luigi looked emotionless but on the inside wasa different story. There was surprise, anger, and depression all balled into one. He didn't know rather to let her be, or knock Koopa out, but finally he made his decision. "We should let her be Mario." He said with a certain coldness to it.

Then Mario said, "But then this Koopa clown will take ovah' our world!" He said with slight anger, "You wanna be plumbin' for the apes?!"

Luigi then looked at Mario with a look that read 'Shut up and follow my lead.' "You know what?" Luigi said, "I don't care lets just go. Now."

Mario muttered to himself, "I hope monkeys pay good money.." and followed off with Luigi, without a fight..

As soon as both Luigi and Mario were out of the room, Luigi thumped Mario lightly on the head. ''You almost blew it man." Luigi said, "I mean do you really believe I'd just give up?" Luigi then looked around to see if anyone was there and Luigi whispered to Mario "Ok, here's the plan. First we go after the lady who took the rock, then after we get back to our world, we throw it into a big lake where they won't find and then we cover the place up with rocks! Simple!"

Luigi then waited for Mario's response.

Mario smiled, just slightly, "When did I ever know my little brotha' fer givin' up so easily?" Mario laughed, "Even when you was a child ya' never gave up on practicing your tools no matter how big the leak!" Mario looked around, "So...where do we find dat' Lady?"

Koopa grinned as Mario and Luigi left his suite. He pressed a key on the monitor to summon several Goombas. They would catch up to the two nuisance plumbers within minutes. He then settled down, gaining composure and changing his grin to a sophisticated smile. He looked to Daisy. "I'm happy that you chose to stay, Princess."

He stood up, moving towards her. "Now, we have a world to restore."

[Reptile-Queen-Daisy]

"Of course, I mean it wouldn't be in any way proper of me to abandon my own people in their time of need, would it?" She said as he grew closer. Turning, she placed her hands on the sill of the long picture window that wrapped around a portion of the room, peering down upon the scenes in town. "They don't really seem all that depressed about the situation. I guess they are all just living in a state of denial. It's sad really." Although the guilt she had felt for starting to go back to her own dimension was genuine, she did pray that those two friends she had made would make it out safe, at least alive. Turning to Koopa as she felt his presence only a few inches from herself, she looked him in the eyes, "....Where do we start?"

Luigi then thought for a while. Luigi then remembered. "I got it." He said, "Member when she was jumping and stuff? And then she stopped. I remember her walking away into a bar. I think it was called the Boom Boom Bar. That's our best chance. Now let's get outta here." Luigi then began to run left, the way they came. Mario catching up. After a while they wre on the 5th floor now. When they heard Goombas marching down theyre way.

"Uh," Luigi said, "Something tells me, we're still not welcome here Mario! Let's go!" Luigi then heads to an elevator presses the down button. The door opens and they head inside. Luigi then presses the "LOBBY" button.
