Very nice. Welcome to the board!
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

Thanks for the welcome... I remember seeing one of the prop stunt boots on Ebay once, but it went for wayyyy more than I could afford. I have never seen one up since though I assume someone on here must have bought it since I thought I saw the boots in a post about the film props

Jesus. The asking price is way too high. It's a cast mold, but the mold itself can be bought directly from MEL for under $100. If you know what you're doing making a cast from it shouldn't be much more expensive.
The boots probably were bought by one of our members, though those are actually worth the price. They're the most sought after item from the film's production.

You can buy the mold where? Link?
To be fair to the seller tho... I've never seen this on Ebay before. I may try a best offer since I know nothing about making them

Yeah, I typically only see the molds on eBay, not the skin you make from them. You can try E-mailing MEL at their website to ask if they still have any heads. I can't guarantee that they do.

We didn't offer a head like this at the screening. Everything was under close watch as well, so nothing could have been stolen.

They said the same thing when they made one of the "Nightmare on Elm Street" sequels back in the eighties when one of Freddy's gloves disappeared and showed up in a scene in Sam Raimi's "Evil Dead 2."

I emailed the seller and they said it was given to them by one of the FX artists that worked on the film. Still trying to work out a price, though

That's a pretty off-base comment. Both screenings had everything on display either under lock and key and watched at all times.
As far as the actual item itself--like Redstar said, although it may have been made from one of the original molds, it obviously wasn't screen-used and the paint job doesn't do it any favors either. MEL I think would be much more accomodating to obtaining one of these.

I don't know what you meant that these can be purchased from the FX company... they don't sell them, I asked. They don't even list the SMB movie on their site! lol
