Nintendo Force
Since there has been no other discussion yet, I think I'll just leave this here.
More info is coming soon, but I can tell you that it will be available in both digital form and physical-- perfect for putting alongside your Nintendo Power collection!

Amazing! The phoenix has given birth from its own ashes!
It's great to see you on board with this project. Perhaps Poison Mushroom was more popular a website than I gathered. Silly me.
I'm looking forward to the first issue. Hopefully you guys can contact some of the Nintendo Power editorial for guest articles now and then. That would really pass the torch!

Re: Nintendo Force
Thanks! Though I don't think PMO had much to do with it. ;P

Here's the latest:
The Nintendo Force inbox is now open! We're looking for "letters" to print in our debut issue's Letters section, and you can post yours right here as a comment on Facebook. You have a few different options for topics.
1) What games are you most looking forward to in 2013, and why?
2) What is your reaction to Nintendo Force Magazine's reveal/what are you hopeful for in our content?
3) Asking us any kind of general Nintendo questions, like "Do you think Super Mario Bros.' vines up into the clouds were inspired by Jack and the Beanstalk?" We love that kind of stuff, and we've got the best dream team of Nintendo experts available to address even the wildest of your requests for deeper knowledge.
At the end of your "letter," include the name you'd like us to use to identify you, if yours is selected for print. That's it! Got it? Go for it!

I don't think I will be checking this out. I saw some stuff on the facebook thing, but I am sorry that panel from the Mario comic looks cheap and fan made.

Well, this is a fan-run magazine. I think the style of the comic is all part of its appeal.

Yeah I understand that, but it seems like they could have done a better job at drawing Mario. I would be interested in seeing the clay figures fans made though. But I am not throwing the money down for it.

Re: Nintendo Force
Nah, I don't like the artwork. If the art looks off to me, or if I feel I can draw it way better, I don't like it. I'm very picky about art styles.

Re: Nintendo Force
I probably won't subscribe, but I'll show my support by picking up the first issue if LBD and Phlibbit can offer a good review of the content.
Re: Nintendo Force
I bought the print/digital combo pack, and I've gotta say--I am not disappointed.
As a huge fan and long-time subscriber of NP, Nintendo Force has masterfully picked up the torch, even in its first issue. The content is great--the reviews and previews are very well written and spot on. There's an exclusive interview in there with the lead guy over at Renegade Kid, and it made me do what NP always did best--expose me to new games that I probably wouldn't have given a second thought to otherwise.
And as for not picking up the issue based on not liking one of the comics--I don't really get that. It's only a very small part of the magazine. And IMO, it's very good. No, the artwork isn't as good as the old Super Mario Adventures comics that ran in NP back in the day, but the writing is spot-on and captures the spirit of those extremely well.
Plus, the Ox posts on this board! Do yourself a favor and give the first issue a shot, even if you just swing for the digital version.

Would anyone really trust my review on this? I figured I'd be the last person anyone would wait on for a recommendation.

Re: Nintendo Force
Um, okay...
...
...yeah, I'm having a really hard time coming up with how to do this. I honestly can't see a way to win here, but I will just say that I like it.
