Super Mario Bros. Comics
I've noticed that one of the biggest complaints is that the Goombas look nothing like Goombas, so I thought: "What if the Super Mario Movie universe saw the game version of a Goomba?" Therefore, a made a comic out of it. Enjoy!

Pretty cool!
I really like the art style for this one. Also makes you realize how the idea of a "goomba" exactly from the games wouldn't really work in this film.

Now that's funny. Most people don't seem to realize or just choose to ignore the fact that a 3-foot-tall creature isn't that intimidating. I see very little wrong with the fact that the film's Goombas are so tall.
Another thing--and this is something that Phlibbit and I have noted before--is that in the original Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3 and even Super Mario World the Goombas are equal in height to "normal" Mario. Even as Super Mario, they're still roughly half his height. Without any artwork at the time depicting Goombas next to Mario, you couldn't really say either way how tall they were supposed to be.
I really like how this turned out. Koopa's got his hands up and ridged-hair and everything! He looks really cool with those sharp teeth, too. I'd be interested to see you tackle some more comic pages, if you're up for it.

Another comic to start out with. Inspired by the fact that the Police Car chase is referencing Super Mario Kart. This one was kinda hard because of the Police Car (I took the design of the ERTL toy to draw it, lol)

Heh, that'd be hard! Though I would love to do a Super Mario Bros. movie style graphic novel if I could!

This is great! I can imagine it was difficult spinning that particular scene to better reference its inspiration, but you managed it pretty well. Not many people realize what that scene's all about.
Oh, that'd be really cool! You know what you could do that would be fun to see? You could sketch some ideas for a sequel since we're always curious how fans imagine it would have turned out. You definitely have the talent to share whatever your ideas might be.

Some of the artwork reminds me of The Mask, especially the speech-bubbles. Quite good, quite good.
