Aw...that's adorably badass!
Thopugh, why do the boots look like they have mouths?

Yes. I know. It was my ex wife's.
But you wear this stuff?!

I'm not sure, I think it may be the way I colored it though.

That's really cool. A bit cartoony, but it captures Luigi's personality well. I love the coloring and the boots, though I agree that they are very large.
Are you planning on drawing any other characters or creatures from the movie?

Nice artwork, you should do one reenacting the scene where Koopa is taunting what's left of the King.
What would you do without your big brother?
I'd like to give it a shot and find out.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
Thanks for the suggestion, actually I was going to do a comic style version of the entire movie!
I always wanted to but never had the time to do it
though I do have trouble with a few characters...mainly Koopa, Iggy, Spike, the goombas, and lena, Koopa and iggy are difficult for me because I'm not used to drawing hair in those kinds of styles especially Koopa's, goombas are difficult because they look funky but cool.

Nice work! I like how Mario has more facial features that represent his game counterpart.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
thanks! well what I tried doing was combine the game versions of Mario and Luigi along with the movie's version, the outcome was this haha. Koopa is going to be difficult for me to draw since...I cant DO that with his game counterpart xD same for iggy and spike.
I'm attempting Koopa now, his head looks good but his body is so bad, his hands are tiny and he looks fat the way I drew the suit

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
This is really great. I'm looking forward to seeing you draw the rest of the characters. You have a style that really adds fun to them!
I also like your idea for doing a comic, though redrawing the entire film would obviously take some effort. Have you considered doing a one-shot mini-comic or even a sequel comic?

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
I was, but I am trying to think of a way to bring Koopa back, and instead of just iggy and spike, his 7 other cousins are there (you can probably tell where this is going
)
And plus, it may be alot of effort but It'd also be alot of fun to do

Hey, if the King could come back from being Fungus for 20 years then it shouldn't be too difficult to bring Koopa back after only two weeks.
Do you have a DeviantART account? You should submit these pieces so that we can showcase them under our group #SuperMarioMovieArt.

Perfect! We've decided to host fan art for the film on DeviantART rather than the site itself, so any new submissions are appreciated.

Wario's okay, but everyone on this board knows my stance on Waluigi-- he's the Scrappy Doo of the Mario universe.

Hmm, "don't like" is an understatement. I think if there was a word that described "hate with the intensity of a billion dying suns about to go supernova" that would be more accurate.

Serum is notorious for his loathing of Waluigi. Most don't mind him that much, so don't let it get to you! To avoid getting off-topic you can read his thoughts on the character HERE.
I love the designs myself. The color scheme is just right while the characters themselves make me feel dirty just looking at them. Koopa's fist-and-lightning K insignia on Waluigi's hat is a nice touch as well. My only suggestion is that they look perhaps too human; some scales, ridges or claws of some kind might work well.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
I kind of liked it better the other way... I mean, the green skin and scales makes more sense in theory, but in the movie, the reptiles are almost completely human. But, it's your project and you can do whatever you want. Just don't be like George Lucas and change things every five minutes.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
I don't see the neon green skin as being completely necessary. Remember, most of the dinosaur/human characters in the film just had discolored patches of scales. Almost like scabs. I think it would be better to maintain the human flesh tone while keeping the scales for effect.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
thanks for the criticism, I changed it for, I'm hoping, the last time, its basically the same as the first one, only, I changed Wario's 5-oclock shadow to dark grey-ish scales that look like a 5-oclock shadow. and waluigi has the same thing on the side of his face

Why did you remove the claws and other features that you had added before?
Also, please do not delete earlier versions of an image. Doing so makes it so that no one knows what any of us are talking about. We prefer an accurate record of our conversation on here, so I would appreciate it if you were to re-add the two removed images from their appropriate posts.

Re: PresidentKingKoopa's Character Artwork
I'm really enjoying your depiction of a Wario and Waluigi within the world of the film. It's the first things that I've seen that actually makes me wonder what those characters could look like or be in the film's world.
I almost imagine that maybe they wouldn't be called "Wario" or "Walugi" by name, but "Wario Brothers" commissioned by Koopa or something as hired goons to mirror Mario and Luigi, after Iggy and Spike aren't his goons anymore.

That drawing only highlights why Luigi needs the 'stache. He just doesn't seem complete without it. Other than that, it's a really awesome likeness.
